Jurassic Park is a rail shooter arcade game developed and released by Sega in 1994. It is based on the 1993 film of the same name. The game cabinet resembles the rear of the Ford Explorer tour vehicles used in the film. The player, equipped with a joystick, must shoot dinosaurs that appear on-screen throughout the game.
The game is notable for having a moving seat, also used in Sega's previous 1991 light gun shooter Rail Chase. The seat is powered by hydraulic pistons to move the seat according to action on the screen. The game's graphics blend two-dimensional sprites and three-dimensional polygons to give the sense of movement. Jurassic Park was the first game of this genre to include 3D environments.
The game was followed by two arcade sequels, The Lost World: Jurassic Park in 1997, and Jurassic Park III in 2001. Another arcade game, titled Jurassic Park Arcade, was released in 2015 and is based on the first three films in the Jurassic Park series.

Allen Iverson scored nine of his 26 points in the fourth quarter as the Philadelphia 76ers notched their first victory of the season and their first win in Houston in nearly nine years, 114-100 over the Rockets.
Iverson, who also handed out 15 assists, hit a 10-foot jumper to cap a 15-2 run that gave the 76ers a 99-92 lead with 6:15 to play. The Rockets cut the deficit to 101-97, but Iverson drained a three-pointer with 3:48 remaining and Houston got no closer than seven the rest of the way.
"We executed at the end, whereas previous games we didn't do that," said Iverson, who committed no turnovers. "This is a confidence boost for us. We played with control when we got the lead in the fourth quarter and we played solid defense all game long."
Jerry Stackhouse scored 17 points and Terry Cummings added a season-high 16 in 17 minutes off the bench for Philadelphia (1-5), which ended an eight-game slide in Houston, winning there
for the first time since January 7th, 1989. Larry Brown notched is first victory as coach of the Sixers, who shot 62 percent (49-of-79) from the field.
"We played as well as we could possibly play," Brown said. "Everybody just played great. This is huge to beat a great team like Houston on their home court."
"We're getting better," Cummings said. "The last few games, we were in it with about five or six minutes to go and let it get away. Tonight, we executed at the end."
Clyde Drexler scored 23 points and Charles Barkley added 19 for Houston (3-3), which had won the last 11 meetings with Philadelphia. Olajuwon chipped in 14 points and 15 rebounds but made just 6-of-19 shots as Houston shot just 44 percent (36-of-81).
"This was an embarrassing loss," Olajuwon said. "They played well and made some tough shots, but we also missed some easy baskets. The good news is that it's very early, and we have the opportunity to recover."
Sixers rookie forward Tim Thomas suffered a bruised tailbone in the first quarter on a drive to the basket when he was knocked to the floor by Rockets guard Matt Maloney. Thomas, whose head
and lower body were immobilized, was motionless for 10 minutes before he was taken off on a stretcher. X-rays were negative and he is expected to fly with the team to Dallas for Thursday's
game.
Houston owned a 90-84 edge on a dunk by Kevin Willis with 10:42 to play. But Philadelphia's Clarence Weatherspoon, who scored 14 points, sank a 15-foot jumper 17 seconds later to spark the
15-2 burst. The 76ers outscored the Rockets in the final period, 32-14.
"You can't give up 32 fourth-quarter points and expect to win," Barkley said. "We just couldn't get over the hump. We've got to play better defense."
Weatherspoon made 6-of-8 shots and Cummings was 7-of-8 for the Sixers, who lost their first five games of the season by an average of 10.8 points. Jim Jackson scored 15 points and
Derrick Coleman finished with 14 and eight boards as Philadelphia beat the Rockets for the first time since January 8th, 1992.
"When you give up 62 percent shooting at home, that's not winning basketball," said Rockets coach Rudy Tomjanovich. "You've got to be a defensive team to win in this league. We just didn't do it."
The Rockets are at .500 for the first time since they were 16-16 on January 12th, 1993. The last time they were at .500 in November was 1992, Tomjanovich's first season as Houston coach.
The game was tight throug the first three quarters, with neither team able to gain a double-digit lead.
Drexler, who had seven assists and six rebounds, scored 11 points in the third period to help Houston to an 86-82 edge heading into the final period. But Drexler was held to three points in the fourth as the Rockets dropped their second straight home game.
"This is very disappointing. We have a very good team, but we're not playing well," he said. "This team has to learn to smell the blood and put them away."
Barkley, a former Sixer, pulled down nine boards as Houston outrebounded Philadelphia, 40-32.

PHILADELPHIA (Ticker) -- With a strong finish, the Philadelphia 76ers matched the best start in franchise history.
Allen Iverson and Theo Ratliff powered a third-quarter charge and the 76ers remained unbeaten by controlling the second half in a 107-98 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers. At 8-0, the Sixers are the NBA's lone undefeated team. They tied the start of the 1979-80 squad, which featured Julius
Erving, Andrew Toney, Darryl Dawkins and current assistant coach Maurice Cheeks and reached the NBA Finals.
"It should mean a lot to them. I'm proud of my team," Sixers coach Larry Brown said. "I'm proud of the fact that we've had some injuries and we had a lot of guys step up and play well. We've played unselfishly, but it's eight games and we have to keep that in mind."
Philadelphia hosts Miami on Friday with a chance to break the club mark. The NBA record for best start is 15-0, shared by the 1949-50 Washington Capitols and the 1993-94 Houston Rockets.
"Everybody wants to be the first team that knocks us off," said Iverson. "Everybody wants to be that team. It's going to be tough. We have to really dig in and sneak some wins out of other teams' houses. For right know, I'm just living for the moment and I just hope it continues. I'm glad I'm a part of it."
Iverson scored 22 points, seven during an 18-0 surge that turned a five-point deficit into a 70-57 lead midway through the third period.
The Cavaliers missed eight straight shots during that stretch and Ratliff was a big reason. Saddled by foul trouble in the first half, the 6-10 center had three of his six blocks during the run. Ratliff also scored 15 points.
"He did a good job offensively but just his presence underneath caused them to miss some easy shots and get some 24-second violations," Brown said. "But he's always been that for us.
That's why we need him out on the court. We can't afford for him to get fouls and only play seven minutes in the first half. That's one of the reasons why we had a problem defending in the
first half."
"I was just doing the same old thing that I try to do every time I step out on the court -- to be that intimidating factor as far as when guys try to get easy shots and easy layups," Ratliff
said. "I let them know it's not going to be that easy.
Philadelphia got a big offensive boost from George Lynch, who scored a season-high 23 points and kept his team in the game in the first half. The defensive-minded forward had not scored
more than 10 points in a game this season.
"I like him to do the dirty work," Brown joked. "How many rebounds did he get? Just one defensive rebound so I have something to talk to him about. He did a lot of great things."
"I knew he was going to say that," Lynch said. "I had (Robert) `Tractor' Traylor on me. He's about 300 pounds to my 230 so he's gonna win that battle the majority of the time. ... The
team needed me to score some points the way we were going. I had the hot hand, some open looks and I was able to take advantage of them. I've had those looks all season, it's just I
was making the shots tonight."
Eric Snow contributed 13 and seven assists for Philadelphia, which was outshot and outrebounded but scored 29 points off 22 turnovers by Cleveland.
Former Sixer Clarence Weatherspoon scored 24 points, Robert Traylor added a career-high 17 and Zydrunas Ilgauskas 16 for the Cavaliers (6-2). The frontcourt trio thrived while Ratliff was
on the bench with foul trouble but got little help from the perimeter players.
"We let them dictate the play to us," Weatherspoon said. "We never got into a rhythm. They came after us and we just didn't match it. It's hard to come back on a team that has so many
scorers and plays a good half-court defense."
The Cavs have lost their last six meetings with the Sixers.
Cleveland came in an even bigger surprise than Philadelphia, winning six of its first seven games despite having no player averaging more than 14 points or nine rebounds per game. The
Cavs opened the third period with consecutive baskets for a 57-52 lead before the Sixers took control.
Iverson, who has yet to score 30 points in a game this season, made a jumper and layup around a 3-pointer by Lynch, giving Philadelphia the lead for good at 59-57 with 9:39 left.
After a block by Ratliff, Snow set up Ratliff for a dunk and hit a shot. Iverson snaked his way for a three-point play and Snow made two free throws for a 68-57 lead.
Ratliff blocked two more shots and Iverson found Lynch for a dunk that capped the outburst. Iverson scored nine points in the quarter, which ended with Philadelphia holding an 81-71 lead.
