Inspired by COVID-19, chapter 4 of #AI2041, “Contactless Love” imagines new variants of disease cropping up even once everyone is vaccinated. In 2041 people have learned how to co-exist with the virus, aided by constantly evolving therapies and household robots that reduce person-to-person contact. Fearful of disease, however, the heroine of this story closes herself off from the world, setting up a conflict between pursuing love and avoiding human contact. The story reveals how COVID-19 has accelerated AI-enabled drug discovery and precision medicine. www.ai2041.com
