為因應COVID-19疫情的發展,本校所有課程 (含實驗/實習/實作課程),自5月17日 (週一) 起全面採用遠距教學,校屬5棟 (共同、普通、新生、博雅及綜合) 教學館教室僅提供原授課教師和助教錄製課程,學生請勿進入,以減少師生到校上課,降低群聚感染的風險,請所有師生包涵並配合辦理。實驗或實作課程若必須到校操作,請老師注意控制到現場的人數至多4人同時在埸操作,務必維持讓學生在操作時有適當的社交距離,也請老師盡量採用數位化方式進行。

教師可善用學校新一代數位教學平台 NTU COOL,上傳課程影片進行非同步之遠距教學;除了錄製課程內容上傳 NTU COOL 外,教務處已提供授課教師U Meeting與U Webinar企業版帳號,俾益課程進行同步遠距討論、教學,教師應已收到由訊連科技寄出的帳號通知信,透過信中連結即可啟用帳號。教師亦可自行選用熟悉的通訊軟體或直播平台進行遠距教學。

教師如有錄製課程影片之需求,可運用 EverCam、OBS 等軟體自行錄影,亦可申請使用具備自動錄播系統之綜合教學館教室進行課程錄製。

Dear members of the NTU community,

In case of a further wave of COVID-19, a comprehensive contingency plan will be unexceptionally applied to all courses (including experimental, practicum, and hands-on courses): all courses, regardless of enrollment number or course types, shall be switched to distance learning mode since May 17th. The five classroom buildings managed by the University: Gongtong, Putong, Xinsheng , Boya, and Zonghe Classroom Building are only accessible for instructors and teaching assistants to transcribe their courses. Students are prohibited from entering Classroom Buildings to maintain a reduced on-campus population.

If it’s inevitable for students to run experiment in an in-person class such as hands-on or experimental courses, the upper limit of students in the same space or lab shall be 4, and appropriate physical distancing and good ventilation shall be maintained throughout the course. Of course, given the dynamic public health environment, the remote-only instruction is strongly recommended.

Instructors can upload their lecture videos to NTU COOL for asynchronous online teaching. Besides, the Office of Academic Affairs has provided all instructors with U Webinar and U Meeting accounts for synchronous online discussion. To activate the account, please check the NTU mailbox for the activation link sent from CyberLink. Instructors may also use their preferred communication software or streaming media for online teaching.

To record the lectures, instructors can use video recording software such as EverCam or OBS. Zonghe Classroom Building equipped with improvised lecture recording systems is open for instructors to make reservation, if there is availability.

Bởi đề thi IELTS Writing có tính lặp lại cao, năm trước ra rồi, năm sau vẫn có thể ra lại, năm sau nữa có thể lại tiếp tục ra tiếp, vậy nên cô Loan muốn share với các bạn các đề thi thật của các năm trước.
Với mỗi đề mình đều bắt đầu bằng việc dịch đề và phân tích đề. Sau đó hướng dẫn các bạn cách paraphrase và lên outline chi tiết.
Các bạn lưu ý, luôn luôn phải lên outline trước khi bắt tay vào viết bài đó nhé!
Hôm nay chúng mình cùng làm một đề Writing Task 2, dạng Discussion nhé:
ĐỀ BÀI
Many people say that universities should only offer young students with the highest marks, others say they should accept people of all ages, even if they did not do well.
Discuss both views and give your opinions.
- Dịch câu hỏi: Nhiều người nghĩ rằng các trường đại học chỉ nên chọn những học sinh trẻ có điểm số cao, nhưng một số người khác lại cho rằng các trường Đại học nên chấp nhận học sinh ở mọi lứa tuổi cho dù là họ không có kết quả học tập tốt. Thảo luận 2 ý kiến này và đưa ra quan điểm cá nhân của mình.
- Dạng câu hỏi: Discussion with opinion. Câu hỏi đưa ra hai ý kiến trái ngược nhau về việc chỉ nên chấp nhận những học sinh xuất sắc ở độ tuổi trẻ, hãy cho phép tất cả học sinh ở mọi lứa tuổi học Đại học.
Nhiệm vụ của người viết như sau:
• Giải thích cả 2 ý kiến. Vì sao một số người lại nghĩ rằng chỉ nên chấp nhận những học sinh xuất sắc ở độ tuổi trẻ (đưa ra lợi ích), và tại sao những người khác lại cho rằng nên cho phép tất cả học sinh ở mọi lứa tuổi học Đại học (đưa ra lợi ích).
• Đưa ra quan điểm cá nhân đồng ý với ý kiến 1 hay
CẤU TRÚC BÀI VIẾT

Answer: While many people think that + đưa ra ý kiến 1, I am more convinced that + đưa ra ý kiến 2 cũng là quan điểm cá nhân của mình
Body 1:
• Topic Sentence: Paraphrase lại ý kiến 1
• Supporting Idea 1: Kết quả học tập tốt (A good academic result) → phản ánh khả năng của học sinh và quyết định liệu rằng họ có phù hợp với môi trường học ở Đại học không → Nếu học sinh không có đủ kiến thức (not to acquire sufficient knowledge) khi học cấp 3, họ có thể không phù hợp với chương trình học Đại học
• Supporting Idea 2: Tập trung vào những học sinh giỏi ở độ tuổi trẻ (high – ranking students at a young age) → Chính phủ có thể tập trung nguồn ngân sách vào việc phát triển những người có chất lượng cao (high quality personnel) bằng cách cải thiện môi trường học tập tốt hơn (a more favorable learning environment) với chất lượng giáo dục cải thiện (improved education quality), năng lực nghiên cứu tốt hơn (better research capacity), và trang thiết bị tốt hơn (better facilities)
Body 2:
• Topic Sentence: Paraphrase lại ý kiến 2 và nói quan điểm cá nhân của mình là ủng hộ quan điểm này
• Supporting Idea 1: Giáo dục là yếu tố then chốt đằng sau sự thay đổi về thu nhập (income mobility) và sự thay đổi về xã hội (social mobility) → nên được cung cấp cho tất cả mọi người
• Supporting Idea 2: Học sinh cấp 3 phải học rất nhiều môn → Một vài môn có kết quả thấp (poor academic result), nhưng một vài môn khác lại có điểm rất cao (extraordinarily high)→ Học sinh nên được cho phép phát huy những thế mạnh (take advantage of strengths) để tham gia vào các khóa học chuyên sâu ở trường Đại học
Conclusion: Tổng kết và trả lời lại câu hỏi, paraphrase lại câu số 2 trong phần introduction

繼 2018 年金音獎入圍的《炮打司令部》後,中文嘻哈界絕無僅有的共產主義饒舌歌手鍾翔宇與英國製作人 Ransom-Notes 馬不停蹄地聯手炮製出六首歌的新專輯《星星之火》,相較於上張專輯還有如〈保力達B〉、〈偶像的手冊〉等比較詼諧幽默的歌曲,這張專輯顯得更加嚴肅而深入的闡述自己的意識形態。
即使如此,這張專輯並沒有流於自我重複的說教,而是透過自己在美國成長過程親眼目睹的(台灣媒體跟好萊塢電影不告訴你的)具體事實,鍾翔宇戳破所謂的「美國夢」,一層一層爬梳嘻哈音樂如何失去最初的反抗精神、分析爭取勞動權益的困境甚至環保議題。很難想像這麼龐大的知識量被鍾翔宇精巧的放在一張不到 20 分鐘的專輯當中,這樣大膽的嘗試絕對值得你靜下心搭配歌詞細細玩味。搭配 Ransom-Notes 充滿黃金年代風格的編曲,讓嚴肅的歌詞不再難以下嚥。而鍾翔宇精心設計的多韻和不時的好笑 punchline,也展現他想讓歌曲直面普羅大眾的誠意。
批判美國的霸權和當今的社會經濟制度等於動搖了非常多人的基本信念,鍾翔宇也深知這一點。然而看到不公不義的事實而站出來發聲,這是讓鍾翔宇之所以愛上嘻哈的浪漫初衷。《星星之火》這張專輯就如同他的偶像,英國嘻哈詩人 Lowkey 的 “Soundtrack to the Struggle” 一樣,是貨真價實的革命之聲,所有真心想衝破世界當今所面對的困境的人,肯定能從鍾翔宇的音樂中得到啟發。
Shortly after his 2018 album "Bombard the Headquarters" was nominated best hip hop album by the Golden Indie Music Awards, Xiangyu, one of the few openly communist rappers in the Sinosphere, together with his comrade Ransom-Notes from the UK, began working on "a Single Spark." In comparison to his previous album, which contains comedic songs like "Paolyta B" and "the Idol's Handbook," "a Single Spark" takes on a more serious tone and delves deeper into Xiangyu's ideology.
Despite the comparatively somber tone, this new album avoids repetitive preaching. Through sharing his personal experiences and the things he saw growing up in the United States, Xiangyu debunks the so-called "American Dream." Using materialist dialectics, he tells us how hip hop has lost its rebellious essence, and also analyzes power dynamics and touches on topics such as the environment. It is difficult to imagine how Xiangyu and Ransom-Notes were able to condense such a vast expanse of knowledge into an album less than 20 minutes in length. You will not be disappointed should you decide to sit down and listen to such a bold album while studying the lyrics. Reminiscent of hip hop's golden age, Ransom-Notes' beatmaking provides the listener with the sugar that makes the pill easier to swallow. Xiangyu's carefully constructed rhymes and the occasional humorous punch line demonstrate his sincere attempt to make his agitprop more accessible to the layperson.
Criticizing US hegemony and the socioeconomic order of today is tantamount to shattering the fundamental beliefs of many, and Xiangyu is acutely aware of this. The fact that hip hop can serve as a platform for pointing out injustices is what attracted Xiangyu to the genre in the first place. "A Single Spark" is similar to "Soundtrack to the Struggle" by Lowkey, one of Xiangyu's influences, in the sense that it is truly revolutionary in content. Those who genuinely seek to transform the predicaments plaguing our world today will certainly find inspiration in Xiangyu's music.
