The One Called “Praise”
“As Peter went throughout all those parts, he came down also to the saints who lived at Lydda. There he found a certain man named Aeneas, who had been bedridden for eight years, because he was paralyzed. Peter said to him, “Aeneas, Jesus Christ heals you. Get up and make your bed!” Immediately he arose. All who lived at Lydda and in Sharon saw him, and they turned to the Lord.” (Acts 9:32-35 WEB)
I like to study names in the Bible.
Lydda means “a standing pool”, while Aeneas means “praise”.
A standing pool reminds us of the time that Jesus healed the crippled man at the Pool of Bethesda.
There were many people at the pool, waiting for an angel to come and stir the waters. Whoever got into pool first when that happened, would be healed.
So in Lydda (a standing pool), the crippled one called “praise” received his healing when he heard and believed Peter’s words.
This miracle almost mirrored the one that Jesus did. It just reinforces the truth that under Grace, it is no longer about how capable you are to earn God’s favor through the works of the Law.
“Faith, then, is birthed in a heart that responds to God’s anointed utterance of the Anointed One.” (Romans 10:17 TPT)
The one who experiences God’s power is he or she who hears the rhema word of Christ (what Jesus is saying now through the Holy Spirit) and has faith in the name of Jesus Christ.
“He therefore who supplies the Spirit to you, and does miracles among you, does he do it by the works of the law, or by hearing of faith? Even as Abraham “believed God, and it was counted to him for righteousness.” Know therefore that those who are of faith, the same are children of Abraham.” (Galatians 3:5-7 WEB)
When you are feeling faithless and unbelieving, a session of praising and worshipping Jesus combined with hearing the Gospel can reignite faith for you to receive miracles.

儘管她當媽後還是美艷動人、性感不羈，卻也能為了孩子赴湯蹈火，甚至成為偉大帝國的保護神；她保護孩子的創意更成為雙魚座的神話由來，是你沒想過的好媽媽喔！
維納斯女神掌管著愛與美也掌管著生育，自己更是生育眾多；有愛情之神/情慾之神/恐懼之神/恐怖之神/和諧女神，也有雌雄同體的陰陽神，甚至與人類生下一子──羅馬開國始祖艾尼亞斯（Aeneas）。
這個兒子正是她從愛神進化為羅馬國母的關鍵。
艾尼亞斯是特洛伊王子安基賽斯（Anchísis）與女神維納斯的兒子，是特洛伊末代國王的遠房姪子，也是特洛伊王子赫克托的主將之一，可想而知上戰場就是他人生的日常；因此維納斯也就常常出現在戰場上幫忙，甚至在艾尼亞斯即將被殺之際將他帶走療傷。
#柔弱的愛神為了愛子也得咬牙上戰場
而當特洛伊城被攻陷而毀壞於火海之中時，維納斯更是一路指引著艾尼亞斯，讓他背著父親與朋友家臣一起逃到義大利，成為羅馬人的祖先。在烽火追擊的一路上，原本只懂得愛與美麗的女神也不得不變身為手持金星盾牌的女戰神，為自己的兒子以及新的未來披荊斬棘。儘管她無法阻止特洛伊城陷落，卻幫助特洛伊人開創了更偉大的新時代，若稱維納斯女神為羅馬帝國的開國神母，也是無庸置疑！
而在她的眾多子女中，最常與她一同出現在神話中的就是愛神了；據說某次母子倆一同參加宴會時，竟然遇上了怪物提豐（Typhon）的攻擊，一片混亂中母子竟然失散了。女神心急如焚地尋找，終於在琴台下找到正在發抖的愛神。於是她用一條絲帶將兩人的腳綁在一起，一起跳入河中變化為魚，躲避提豐的攻擊。為了紀念這件事，宙斯便將這兩條魚以雙尾相連永不分離的姿態升上天空，成為雙魚座，象徵精神與肉體的結合。

牯嶺街小劇場驅魔記
黑暗巴洛克
Dark Baroque
在風和日暖的下午，喜悅的W推著新生的E在散步，一轉眼，E卻不見了，而世界，一任渾沌、迷亂而黑暗，疾速翻轉...
一推出即令人驚艷的音樂表現備受矚目的五幕實驗音樂劇，藉由巴洛克的創作元素，象徵人類華麗縝密的思維，以及「算計終究注定腐朽，而無知的人類卻 永遠重蹈覆轍」。《黑暗巴洛克》的音樂創作，貫穿巴洛克式的複音對位到批判式的hip-hop饒舌音樂。音樂總監李婉菁（Sandra）本身於琵琶地音樂 院接受嚴格訓練，她的音樂與聲音的創作從古典音樂出發，到電腦音樂、配樂作曲、黑腔形式、聲音採集混音與環境音樂等，一直與影像有極密切的關係——電影中 的影像譜創作形式發展出聲音組合的方式；古典音樂的樂譜的轉換，也能夠產生影像創作的結構。本音樂劇更有VJ的即刻傳送影像，將把樂譜中的秘密與情感視覺 化，意圖於劇中以音樂結合戲劇的手法檢視人類既貪婪卻又純真無知的實況。
關於「驅魔記」 這是一個以音樂／聲音藝術為主的歲末展演，牯嶺街小劇場邀集獨立藝術家，共同以創意表現為一個年頭畫下儀式性的句點。
