Looking at #bestnine2019 got me thinking, “I’ve been through so soooo much in both 2018 & 2019”
First, the fire incident got me hospitalized for 3 weeks. Till I could stand up and walk again, there was the releasing of ‘Amazing Spring’ where we travelled from north to south of peninsular Malaysia for cinema hall visits and roadshows. That was probably the happiest moment this year spent with bunch of good friends and fam.
Then, I flew to HengDian, China for filming, but the first thing that came to me upon arrival was Appendicitis that caused unbearable pain in my lower right abdomen. I had to undergo a surgery right away in a country that is not mine without friends and family by my side. That was the toughest time of my entire year but what haunted me more was the fact that I resumed to work (back on set) only 2 days after surgery when I could barely even walk (plus it was during cold weather with temperature at about 10℃). I’m not proud of it but.. I couldn’t believe I’ve made it through.
Traveling to the top country on my travel wishlist, Morocco, was a great thing in 2019 to remember too. Fast forward to mid year, that’s when I signed off contracts for my first house and studio. It was Fast forward again to today, I finally got my keys and moved into my little dream house feeling so grateful each day.
Now I can’t see what’s coming in 2020 but I just know that it’s definitely a brighter, more colourful & fruitful year ahead. ♥️
