Deepsea Under The Pole by #Rolex, was a pioneering expedition undertaken in 2010 to learn more about the submerged side of the Arctic. During a combination of ski trekking and scuba diving in what is one of the Earth’s toughest climates, the expedition members successfully conducted experiments and gathered exceptional audiovisual material on a little-known world with an unexpectedly abundant marine fauna. After every dive, it took hours to repair damaged equipment. “The only diving instruments which performed all the time”, confirmed one of the eight team members, were their Rolex watches. Rolex is supporting the Under The Pole III expedition in 2017 in its mission to explore from the Arctic to the Antarctic, and shed new light on our planet.
