墨西哥城 Mexico City│屋邨美食。墨西哥街頭小吃
這店直接開在墨西哥城某屋邨住宅裡,超羨慕這裡的居民,隨都可以吃到美食。它也很靠近地鐵站,走路幾分鐘就能找到了。這裡的經典小吃當然是taco,三個也才 MXN60,好吃又便宜。
但這次我最想要推薦的是 - 素熱狗配薯條 (MXN70)!墨西哥有好幾款素香腸,當中我比較喜歡「豆腐香腸」,而這素熱狗正正就是用了豆腐香腸,除了外表極像香腸外,把它夾在面包中間,放幾片牛油果和淋上蕃茄芥末醬,口感比一般熱狗更好!而且搭配薯條,真想要邊看電影邊享受呢!

This small store is directly opened in a residential area in Mexico City. I am very jealous the residents here. They can easily grab food at anytime. It is also very close to the subway station and can be found within a few minutes walk. The classic snack here is of course taco, and only MXN60 for a combo of 3 tacos, delicious and cheap.
But this time I want to recommend the Vegan Hot Dog w/ Fries (MXN70) ! There are several types of veg sausages in Mexico. Among them, I prefer "Tofu Sausages", and this vegan hot dog is using my favorite sausages. It looks just the same as the normal sausages, and when you put it into a sandwich, plus a few slices of avocado and a bit tomato and mustard sauce, taste even better than normal hot dogs! And with chips, really want to enjoy it while watching a movie!

Looking for a new place to dine in Desa ParkCity? Check out Lucky Peaches.
Their menu consists of tried and tested and contemporary dishes that are prepared with an Asian twist.
Some signature dishes are masterfully cooked in a modern charcoal grill-oven fed with wood chips which give them a great smokehouse flavor.
Also worth mentioning that the breads used at Lucky Peaches are supplied by Huckleberry, a reputable bakery-restaurant in Bukit Damansara. Same goes for the cakes too.
Lucky Peaches' forte lies in its dishes masterfully cooked in a modern charcoal grill-oven fed with wood chips which give them a great smokehouse flavor 🔥 But of course, the menu also offers the usual pasta 🍝, pizza 🍕, vegetarian and other fare good for sharing.

For starters, we highly recommend the Taiwanese Wok Black Chilean Mussels stir fried in an irresistible fish broth infused with fresh Thai basil - so good you can drink it on its own.
Meat lovers will find plenty of options such as Oven Roasted Whole Leg of Chicken 🍗, Grass-Fed Ribeye 🥩 and Sliced Ribeye Brioche Burger 🍔 The burger is full of satisfying chunks of tender medium-rare ribeye, cooked to order topped with a creamy, mildly onion-flavored soubise sauce.
The Rainbow Trout is an extraordinary fish (ask for availability first) that's not commonly available in KL, so it's worth a try. Air-flown chilled for maximum freshness, it's simply grilled and served with clarified butter to complement the fish's flaky, delicate and slightly nutty flavor.
It's also worth mentioning that the breads 🍞 used at Lucky Peaches are supplied by Huckleberry, a reputable bakery-restaurant in Bukit Damansara. Same goes for the cakes too, so you will find deliciously decadent cakes 🍰 here with some being gluten free.

RECIPE #1 - KETO COOKIES

Makes about 16 cookies depending on how big your cookies are :)
165g of peanut butter
3 tbs of cacao powder
100g of coarsely chopped almond nuts
1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract
A few droplets of stevia (Adjust to your personal taste). You can use erythritol or other sweetener as well!
3 tbs of chocolate chips
Chuck the peanut butter, cacao powder, vanilla extract and stevia in the food processor. Process until smooth then add almond nuts and process it once or twice. Make sure you don't overprocess it. Or you can choose to add coarsely chopped almond nuts instead so that the pieces remain big. Add chocolate chips. Roll the mixture into a ball then press it down so it looks like a cookie! Put it in the freezer for 30 minutes and it's ready. You can leave it in the freezer. I actually like it best straight out from the freezer!

RECIPE #2 - BEEF COCONUT WRAP

This will make about 4-5 depending how big your serving size is. Recommend to add half an avocado when you're going to have them. Avocado mayo is also so good with it!
This is also keto friendly if you use 1-2 coconut wrap per serving.
1kg of Minced Beef
1 Red Bell Pepper
1 Green Bell Pepper
1/2 an Onion
1 Carrot
3 TBS of Apple Cider Vinegar (Adjust to your liking)
1 TSP of Ginger Powder
1 TBS of Cumin (Adjust to your liking)
1 Pack of Black Beans (or 1 can)
4-5 TBS of Tomato Paste
Salt to season
Black Pepper optional
Avocadoes
Cooked minced beef with coconut oil and salt. Once it's brown add cumin, ginger powder and tomato paste. Stir it well then add apple cider vinegar.
You can then add all the vegetables and black beans and cook them with the beef together or separately.
Cook until vegetables is tender. Serve it with sliced avocado in a coconut wrap, or serve it with half a smashed avocado. One container will make about 3 wraps.

RECIPE #3 - KELP NOODLE SALAD
☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆
This recipe will only take you less than 5 minutes to make.
A few bags of chopped carrots and mixed cabbages.
Green Onions
1 bag of kelp noodles
Avocadoes
A few cans of Wild Caught Salmon
Sauce:
Ginger (adjust to your liking. I like it quite gingery)
2-4 Limes (depending on the size of your limes, you can replace it with apple cider vinegar if you don't have limes or lemons)
5-6 TBS of peanut butter (adjust to your liking)
Some water to dilute it if needed
Salt to season
Place them all into a food processor and process it until smooth.
Rinse the chopped vegetables if needed then place them into 4-5 containers. Rinse kelp noodles under cold water and drain it. Add the kelp noodles and chopped green onions to the container.
Serve it with half an avocado (chopped up avocado), a can of salmon (or half a can), and the gingery sauce! You can try it with the avo mayo sauce or other sauces you fancy.
That's it! So simple!

3/4 packet of corn chips
200g of quality cheese
3 tbl vegetable oil
200g minced pork, beef or chicken
1/4 cup chicken broth
3 stalks of lemon grass
8 kaffir lime leaves
3cm galangal
5 chills
1 tbl fish sauce
1/2 lime
วัตถุดิบ Salsa :
1 small handful of cilantro
2 ripe tomatoes
1/2 red onion
1/2 lime
salt and pepper, to taste
To Serve
1/4 cup sour cream
1/2 avocado (optional)
วิธีทำ :
1. Finely chop the chilli, lime leaf, lemongrass and galangal.
2. Fry the herbs for one minute in a hot pan with the vegetable oil.
3. Add the minced meat and stir until cooked. Add chicken stock to prevent the meat from sticking to the pan. Season with lime juice and fish sauce. Remove from the heat.
4. Layer the grated cheese, nachos and tom yum meat mixture. Bake in a 220 degree oven for 15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted.
5. Dice the onion, tomato and cilantro. Mix with lime juice and season with salt and pepper.
6. When the nachos are cooked, top with your salsa mix, sour cream and avacado. Enjoy!
