First of all, thanks so much for your kindness yesterday! @joebonamassa 🙏🙏🙏 brought me to the sound check, Joe showed me all 12 guitars for this tour. He explained each guitar and handed me to play! I have seen him so much on Instagram videos so it seems like I have known him for a long time. He was so kind to me every ways! Then he said, let’s hear it ( this means his amps! I am a gear geek! He knows that well!!) He plugged in his favorite Tele (What year?) he played his thing and he handed that guitar to me! Now I am playing his gears on the stage volume! Okay 👌 Let me explain a little about his rigs here! Two Dumbles & Two new Fender Tweed Twins (Volume at 10 and 1/2👍) 4 amps!! And no reverb, no delay, nothing but a wah and two more pedals! That’s all!! Pretty simple right? His overdrive control is his hands and volume of guitar!! Amazingly so sensitive!! I am pretty good at picking dynamics but his rigs are much more horse powers than I am used to ... so quite difficult to control that wild 🐎!! Please listen his lyrical tasty solo (almost my battery of cell was... 5 minutes of greatness!!) This was a great example that how great Joe Bonamassa as a guitarist first!! It was so emotionally awesome!! Plus his band was so tight and everyone played so amazingly tasteful!! What a night!! I had incredible experience last night! Sorry to write too much! Go back a little bit... After the sound check, he told me very casually.. “let’s have a dinner” he brings own catering crew so it was so healthy and delicious!! What amazing hang isn’t it? The show was so amazing!! His playing was so awesome!! His guitar solos were all melodic, built up so musically... phrasing and his time so precisely great!! A lot of inspiration!! After the show, he offered me cigars!! We hang out till his bus it’s time to leave and I just get the Uber!! Thanks so much again for ass kicking hang Joe!! I am so thankful and greateful!! After all we’re all guitar geeks😎
