Time always seems to pass slowly on long drives. I’ve always love road trip, you learn about someone through their choice of songs, what they think about when silence and an open road are the only things in front of them.
I love the quiet time- when there is only the two of us, we talk about love and our friendship. The things we want, the future people we’d like to fall for, the places we’ll one day live or if we still want the same things in life.
The energy in the car shifts during difficult topics but forces us to talk about it anyhow, like all relationships, we are constantly re-learning about each other’s old wounds and new wounds, peeling it off one by one leaving us feeling vulnerable ✨✨.
But that’s the best part, how do we know if one deserves our best if they don’t know our worst?
