Sakeenah, the 6-month-old baby girl of my lecturer in Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in UPM. She is diagnosed with biliary atresia, a congenital absence of the bile duct. She did her first surgery when she was just 1-month-old plus. The surgery did not go well and she has to undergo a second surgery, a liver transplant in India. The surgery fee would easily cost 150k without considering other medical, pre and post-operational care cost.
