This chapter, Judges 19, is probably one of the darkest and most disturbing ones in the Bible. It clearly shows what happens when man rejects God:

“In those days there was no king in Israel. Everyone did that which was right in his own eyes.” (Judges‬ ‭21:25‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

When man does what is ‘right in his own eyes’, moral degradation is sure to happen because of sin in them.

The Bible doesn't portray violence and evil just to scare you or for shock factor like in horror movies. There is a purpose for it, and it's always God-centered.

In this case, we are given a frightful chapter to show what happens when man doesn't want God to be in charge.

四国一人旅。
最初の夜は宇和島に泊まります。
夕食は郷土料理の有名店ほずみ亭。
ここで宇和島鯛めしを食べるのがこの目的なのです。

宇和島は海の近くの街なので刺身とか魚がおいしい。
郷土料理のじゃこ天や太刀魚巻もいただきました。
太刀魚巻はちょっとユニークな食べ物でしたね。

Shikoku solo trip.
I will stay in Uwajima for the first night.
I eat dinner at a famous restaurant Hodzumitei of regional cuisine.
The purpose of this trip is to eat Uwajima Tai-Meshi here.

Uwajima is a city near the sea, so sashimi and fish are delicious.
I also had local dishes such as Jakoten and Tachiuo-maki.
Tachiuo-maki was a little unique food.
