Look who came to visit! "It's like we are having a staycation right, Mama? Woohoo!"
The first birth experience usually affects the subsequent ones, doesn't it? For me, I gave birth to the big girl in a small town called Karlskrona in Sweden, where the hubby was posted for naval training. We didn't have to pay for the stay other than a small admin fee, we had a huge private ward with two beds - one for me, one for the hubby, the nurses and midwives were friendly and traditional - they used wooden pinard stethoscopes and measuring tapes, I sat on a gym ball instead of lying down, they asked me if I wanted ice cream to relieve the pain instead of mentioning the word epidural, and there was no such thing as a nursery which means our baby girl was with us 24/7 once she came into this world.
All these were precious memories and learning experiences for me, and I cherished that opportunity to witness a different culture that I might not have able to otherwise. So for my subsequent births in Singapore, I requested for my baby to room-in with me every single time, I had the courage and confidence to say no to epidural and I appreciate the comfort and calmness of my ward.
Yup, this is indeed the only 'staycation' we have willingly paid for (our occasional family hotel staycays are sponsored but you do know I work hard for every one of them in return, right?) and I love it because when the baby rooms in with me, it's just me and him/her and that bond we build right from the start is invaluable and irreplaceable.
Sure, the nurses tell me I should just sleep and let them take care of my baby, or that they can supplement with formula so I don't need to breastfeed exclusively, or that I don't need to change soiled diapers and can leave it to them. But, didn't you just say this is my baby? I was taught to be an strong mum with my firstborn - we had to feed, change, burp and even bathe her ourselves at the hospital too, under the guidance of the nurse - and that's how I want it to be for all my kids right from the start.
Treasuring the close bond I have with each of my kids, especially so today. You are my motivation to persevere. Love you, my babies! ❤
P.S. These two were also born right here 8 and 5 years ago. How time flies!

NABI MUHAMMAD SAW PERNAH DISIHIR!!!

PROPHET MUHAMMAD SAW HAS BEEN WITCHED!!!
The magic was sent by a Jew named Labid bin Aksam. That time the Prophet came home from Hudaibiah. After the Khaibar war, the Jewish chiefs came to meet Labid, to perform magic on Prophet SAW.
In cooperation from a Jewish boy who also khadam prophet, they stole the hair brush of Prophet SAW along with his hair on his brush.
The witch made a statue of Prophet SAW from a candle, then stabbed with 11 needles and knitted with 11 bonds and thrown into Zarwan's lake, where Prophet SAW always took a bath.
After Prophet SAW bathed in the lake, destined, he was affected by magic for 40 days.
One night Prophet SAW prayed to Allah. Then two angels came, two men found Prophet SAW while He was sleeping. One of them sat on the head while the other one was beside the Prophet SAW.
So the other one recites several verses from the Quran, which is Surah ' Mu ' awwidataini ' (Surah Al-Falaq and Surah An-Nas).
Prophet SAW then woke up from sleep, then sent Saidina Ali, Saidina Zubir and Ammar ibnu Yasir to the lake.

They took the water and lifted a large piece of stone, then found the allied package and then they picked it up and removed it from the lake, the next packaging was delivered to Prophet SAW.
In the package there are 11 knots with brush, and 11 needles.

We've been to this playground a few times but this was the first time the little brother dared to enter the 'cage'.
Yup, it does look intimidating and a tad too challenging for a 4yo at first glance and that was why he initially refused to try, I decided to let him wait till he was ready as he went off playing on the slides, swing and trampoline instead.
This time, he was brave enough to go in but he was ready to give up after a couple of minutes because he wasn't tall or strong enough to even climb up to the second tier and felt discouraged.
That was when not one, but both of his sisters rushed to his rescue and encouraged him to go on and not give up. One lifted him by his arms and the other pushed him up by his butt while not forgetting to guide him on how to climb, where to put his footing and constantly telling him "You can do it, Didi."
When he was hesitant to go on, they sat down to wait with him, motivate him and gave him courage. When there was a hole to drop through, they showed him how to do it, carried him down till he felt confident enough to try on his own. Slowly but surely, the three of them made their way up and made their way through not once, but a few times.
Where was I? Well, I was just watching, smiling and feeling thankful that I made the choice to have more than one kid. It was a sweet reminder that siblings are the best gifts I can give to them and I can only hope this special bond they share will last them for life. Happy Sunday, people!
