These are my adik adik from the Semai Orang Asli tribe I volunteer with. Some of them just got their UPSR results, and I'm so proud of them.
Assuan (who went to school for the1st year of his life this year) got all Cs.
Aminah (also 1st year in school this year) got all Cs except a D for Science.
Seila (2nd year in school) got all Cs and a B for Penulisan.
Ayu (2nd year) did well with A in Penulisan, B in English & Science and two Cs.
These children started from ZERO, not even knowing how to spell their names or to count 1-10. But thanks to all the dedicated volunteer teachers at Promise Home, within just one year, they're able to not only read and write but they're able to catch up with other kids their age and are doing better than some who have been in school since Standard One. Bravo, students and my hats off to all the teachers👏👏👏
