Hope everyone is doing well.

As recreational boating is permitted is S.A. at the moment, under the regulations, we took one of our vessels for a spin to give the engines a good run.
.
Historically this is the time of year we would be witnessing the Great White Sharks Breaching and Predating on Cape Fur Seals at Seal Island in False Bay.
.
In South Africa we are hoping that Toursim will be operating in the Near Future. We are not only super excited to see all of you again! We are busy preparing our environment to make it Safe and clean for our clients to enjoy our incredible Shark Expeditions once again.

除了非法野生動物貿易，非洲的合法野生動物貿易亦造成巨大的威脅。於2011至2015年期間，共有270萬的野生動物在撒哈拉以南的非洲被合法交易；當中有120萬隻尼羅鱷、南非毛皮海獅、哈特曼山斑馬、非洲象及河馬等的皮毛，以及150萬隻活的球蟒、非洲灰鸚鵡、帝王蠍、豹紋陸龜及草原巨蜥等被用作寵物貿易。無論是野外捕獲或圈養繁殖，這些貿易都對動物及生態造成傷害和威脅。

Beside illegal wildlife trade, legal trade also damaging the biodiversity in Africa. between 2011-2015 in sub-Saharan African, 2,7 minion of wild animals were traded legally; including 1.2 million of animal skins from animals like the Nile crocodile, the Cape fur seal, Hartmann’s mountain zebra, the African elephant and the common hippo; also, around 1.5 million of live animals like the ball python, the African grey parrot, the emperor scorpion, the leopard tortoise, and the savannah monitor lizard were legally trade as pets. whether these animal were wild-caught or captive-breed, these trades are causing harm and threats to the animal and biodiversity.

錫爾島Seal Island又譯海獅島或海豹島，是南非開普敦附近福爾斯灣的一個小島，離岸5.7公里。島的名字源於住在島上的大量非洲毛皮海獅，但其實島上除了有海獅以外，還有其他海鳥寄居。全島由開普敦花崗岩構成，露出海面的部分距離潮高點不超過六公尺。島長800公尺，闊50公尺，島上沒有植被，泥土也沒有什麼特別。一些由海豹獵人於1930年代在岩石上的刻字，到現在還清晰可見。黑腳企鵝又名非洲企鵝、斑嘴環企鵝或公驢企鵝，是生活在非洲西南岸的企鵝，在奈米比亞至南非近伊莉莎白港的阿爾哥亞灣的24個島上都有群族，最大的位於戴爾島。於1980年代，可能由於掠食者的減少，黑腳企鵝群族擴展至近開普敦的博爾德斯海灘及貝蒂灣。另一個大陸群族是在奈米比亞，但出現的時間則不明。由於在博爾德斯海灘的黑腳企鵝容許遊人的接近，所以當地吸引了很多遊客到來。黑腳企鵝高68-70厘米，重2-5公斤。牠們的胸部有黑汶及黑點，每一隻黑腳企鵝都有個別的斑點，彷彿人類的指紋。牠們眼睛上有粉紅色的腺體，若體溫上升，體內會有較多血液流經這個腺體，從而降溫。雄鳥的體型及鳥喙都較雌鳥的大。黑腳企鵝的鳥喙則較漢波德企鵝的尖銳。牠們明顯的黑白色是一種偽裝：白色是向水底下的掠食者向上看的偽裝，而黑色則是向上空的掠食者各下看的偽裝。黑腳企鵝全年都會繁殖，主要由2月開始。雌鳥每胎會生兩蛋，38-42天孵化。黑腳企鵝是唯一於非洲繁殖的企鵝，但在世界其他地方卻沒有牠們的蹤跡。牠們是一夫一妻制的，且是輪流孵化及餵養雛鳥。每年10月至翌年2月都會換羽，大部份都於11月及12月間換羽，之後會出海覓食。於1月會回到配偶身邊，並約於2月至8月開始築巢。牠們吃細小的魚類，如沙丁魚、鳳尾魚等、介蟲及烏賊。黑腳企鵝會從所吃的魚類中獲得水份。黑腳企鵝游泳速度平均每小時7公里，最高可達每小時20公里，潛入水中2分鐘。黑腳企鵝成群的生活，平均壽命10歲，最高紀錄可以達至24歲。2-6歲就會開始交配。雌鳥4歲時就達至性成熟，雄鳥則要5歲。於2003年估計就有179000隻成鳥及56000繁殖對。過往幾年間，牠們的數量開始下降，1970年代時就有220000隻成鳥。
