Asian superstar Jay Chou has been instrumental in the rise of Taiwanese band Nan Quan Mama, seeing something special in Devon Song, the only remaining member from the original line up and the man who is the soul of the band. Devon has won the hearts of millions of fans across the world, thrilling tens of thousands of Chinese admirers at the band’s recent shows. Nan Quan Mama touched down for the Australian leg of their tour in mid-april and Devon sat down with VISION for a chat about his latest passion: diving.
Devon Song met us at the entrance of Sea World on the Gold Coast, a pair of diving fins poking out of his backpack and his wet hair a clue to what he’d just been up to. Having just finished a dive, he was tired but still happy to do the interview. With a broad smile, he told us that he loves diving, visiting over 25 countries and going through 1,500 tanks of air in pursuit of his globally recognised diving instructor licence.
“I grew up by the seaside. As a child, I would go with my mum and auntie to catch fish and sell it at the market. I was captivated by the rich ocean life and I always knew it was something I wanted to explore.” As the sun set, Devon gestured at the water and said, “Once this crazy career exploded, the sea became my refuge and the only place where I could find peace.”
Many years of spending time among the mysteries of the oceans have given Devon a different perspective on life. “Over the past two years, I have been inspired by some amazing teachers. They’ve taken me to places where I’ve seen some incredible sights, such as the mass spawning aggregation of bump headed parrotfish and red snapper in Palau and the breathtaking biodiversity of the Komodo Islands. The highlight was swimming with the sand tiger shark, unique to the Ogasawara Islands near Tokyo. It’s a humbling experience when you understand how small and insignificant humans are in comparison to the majesty and vastness of the oceans.”
These experiences have kept Devon grounded and humble - he is always willing to learn more and is open to being taught by those with more experience of this amazing world. He once braved swimming with a giant hammerhead sharks to get some film for a movie and Devon wants to expand on this experience, saying, “I hope to one day follow these underwater photographers that I’ve worked with and to make an entertaining documentary about this beautiful world.”
Devon loves the diving opportunities that Australia has to offer. “Australia’s deep ocean is so beautiful! I’ve been diving all over the world and I’ve seen many beautiful places, but Australia is unique.” Let’s hope this love of our oceans means many more visits from this humble, soulful music star.
http://clients.visionmagazine.com.au/emagazine/201807/?clientcode=201807-10VMStreetStyle

Teochew porridge craving kinda day. The geography determines the palate when it comes to food and Teochew food is one that's very widely consumed when the ancestors arrived Nanyang. Since then the straits Chinese has got their unique way in presenting the palate through flavours infused with the growth of multi cultural presence in our country. Nowadays, most chap fan place makes porridge decent enough to fix that crave but the only thing of top concern is probably the pre cooking handles. It would be such a bummer if a delicious spread as such is jeopardised by evitable flaws like a mouthful of dirt still trapped in between them vegetables! Yup... You've guessed it right. It happened to me here, and it's damn potong stim la.... Hahaha.

Jay Chou]
Jay Chou]
Ashin]
Jay Chou, Ashin & Jay Chou & Ashin]

chinese market near me 在 Rayner Teo Youtube 的最佳貼文
00:00 In today's episode, I have a question from Umang, who asked, "Hey Rayner, how do I scan the stock markets for my trading setup? Because there are so many stocks out there. Hundreds, if not thousands of stocks."
00:17 So my response to this is that there's a four-step procedure that you can follow, number one: finding a trading setup or a pattern is just like finding a wife.
00:37 if you are looking for a wife who is a brunette, Asian, Chinese, Indian, or whatsoever, you have to know what you're looking for in the first place, and it's the same for trading the markets.
00:54 Are you looking for a trending stock? a breakout stock, or maybe a stock that's tanked over the last twelve months and you're going to buy near the bottom whatsoever.
01:10 Once you've defined your trading setup then you can go into step two: Determine the market cap of the stocks you want to trade. For example, for those of you who are in the U.S., you have Russell 3000. Russell 3000 comprises of the large-cap, mid-cap, and the small-cap stocks. So, if you can define what market capitalization of stocks you want to trade, you can filter it down further. But if you're let's say, in Singapore, there's the large-cap, mid-cap, you have a few thereabout. You don't really need to do this classification, it's only for those of you who are in countries where you have thousands and thousands of stocks.
01:48 So once you have classified the market cap at step two, proceed to step three: Scan the markets. Let's say you want to scan stocks that are trending, what you want to do is to put up the twenty, fifty and two hundred period moving average, so if the stock is above the three moving averages, chances are it's a trending stock. You can also go through your entire watchlist and scan all the stocks which are above these moving averages. Alternatively, if you want to trade breakout stocks, you can just look for stocks that are on a 52-week high, breaking out of their 200-day high, etc. Another example I can give you is that if you want to buy stocks that are doing very bad over the last 12 months and you want to catch bottoms, what you can do is to scan stocks at their 52-week low, 200-day low, and etc.
02:44 Once you've scanned the markets, what you want to do is do number four: Put it all in a spreadsheet. Let's say you have 500 stocks to scan, you can do it all on the weekend. You want to put down those stocks in a spreadsheet that are close to having their setup occur so that when the market opens next week, you will only focus on those stocks in your spreadsheet that are about to have their setup occur. So, what you want to do is to find the gems among your 500 stocks and put it into a spreadsheet, and focus on it this coming week.
03:40 Now that you can scan the stock market and find the trading setups that you want, some of you might be wondering if there is any software to do this work for you? The only one that I do know of is Finviz, F-I-N-V-I-Z, and that is only for the U.S. stock market. They have this kind of quick scanner on whether you want to use fundamentals or technicals. As for local Singaporean stocks, Philippine stocks, Indian stocks, I do not know of such tools that are in the market right now. But for the U.S. there is Finviz. If there are no scanners you can just go through the four steps I shared with you. Number one, define your trading setup. Number two, know the market cap that you want to trade. Number three, scan the markets. And number four, put those stocks that you have scanned into a spreadsheet so you can track them when the market opens this coming week.
04:35 So that's all I have for you in this week's episode of Ask Rayner. "Made in China" usually means that it's not going to last or that the build quality can be expected to be sub-par or poor. However there are companies in China that are starting to break that stereotype! Come with me to China's Silicon Valley and see some of China's home-grown brands that are shaking off the image that "Made in China" means "Junk".
Huaqiangbei (Chinese: 华强北; pinyin: Huáqiángběi; literally: "Huaqiang North") is an area and subdistrict of Futian, Shenzhen, Guangdong Province, China. The area's status as a major electronics manufacturing hub, and sprawling electronics marketplaces have earned it (and Shenzhen) occidental nicknames such as "China's Silicon Valley", and the "Silicon Valley of Hardware".
The subdistrict runs from Shennan Road at SEG Plaza near Huaqiang Road Station of the Shenzhen Metro for 1 kilometre (0.62 mi) north to the Pavilion Hotel. It is at the spine of a shopping district, with cross streets Zhenzhong Road (振中路), Zhenhua Road (振华路) and Zhenxing Road (振兴路). Huafa Road (华发路) is immediately parallel to the east with Yannan Road (燕南路) further away. The central area of the district is along Huaqiang Road (华强路), a busy pedestrian street which the district is named after.
The area is characterized by tree-lined streets with wide (5 to 20 metres (16 to 66 ft)) footpaths. Huaqiangbei is famous for its variety of electronics and clothing shops, though it has a notorious history of selling counterfeit and smuggled goods
