I think one of the reasons for going viral of song is that it is about you and me and the world right now (well...Mayday itself is a super super great star in Taiwan of course)
We all had really hard time in 2020, and hope it won't be the trailer of 2021.
Though we happily welcomed 2021 last week but we cannot say for sure if it will be better in 2021. After a hard time in 2020, I think and hope that everyone can feel the cliche saying that cherish the present and enjoy every tiny little pieces in our lives, even those that seem to be insignificant.

►《Head Above Water》發行於2018年9月19日，由Avril Lavigne（小艾）在對抗萊姆病（Lyme disease）最嚴重的階段時創作完成並演唱的歌曲。2018年9月7日，小艾已於社群媒體發佈了一篇給粉絲們的信，其中敘述了自己五年來對抗病情身心上的體悟，以及身體恢復後所採取的一系列正面積極的行動。（還沒看過的朋友要去看看！）

：其實這首歌第一時間出來我就已經認認真真聽完了，
沒有第一時間分享也沒有第一時間做影片其實是因為這首歌給我的感覺非常「重大」，沒辦法馬上對這首歌做一個回應，要在自己很有靈感很有感覺同時心平氣和的時候進行翻譯製作。（很大的儀式感）嚴格意義上，小艾是我進入歐美音樂圈的關鍵人物，我愛上英文歌的第一首就是她的《complicated》，因為這首歌有著我非常深刻的情感，所以第一次在演唱會掉眼淚也獻給了她；想要學習吉他的動機就是她的一場現場版《my happy ending》⋯總而言之，她對於我而已是一個非常有感情的歌手，哪怕風格不斷改變轉換，可是當她吶喊出第一個音或者眼神凝望著某一處方向時的神情永遠不曾改變，仍然是最初那個穿著帆布鞋和寬褲的搖滾女孩，這大抵就是成為這麼多粉絲多年來始終如一喜愛著小艾的緣故吧。
再說說這首睽違已久的新歌《Head Above Water》，歌曲的前奏以及前部分主歌都使用單一的樂器——鋼琴進行搭配，迎合一種沈澱已久蓄勢待發的情緒，光是前奏也許會讓聽者誤認為是一首非常溫柔的歌曲，但當後半部分的主歌鼓點一出來，你會開始明白，「沒錯了，這就是小艾。」總有辦法將輕柔的旋律帶入有著她專屬震撼特色的風格之中。以比較聯想的方式去敘述這首歌曲，前奏以及主歌的風格都較為平靜，一如汪洋大海尚且風平浪靜的海面，緩慢輕柔。鼓點的出現，如同陣陣風浪，掀起波瀾，預示著接下裡所要發生的一切。副歌直接切人強烈的大鼓鼓點，就是狂風暴雨的所在了，毫無預兆卻又如此強烈，伴隨著副歌的高音，更將情感帶入最高點，一種求生、眷戀的欲望如同驚濤駭浪毫無保留的展現出來，光是聽著歌曲，我想大部分的聽眾就可以體會到小艾在創作這首歌曲時所面臨的困境還有內心最深刻的願望。
所幸的是，狂風驟雨後太陽仍不會缺席，
一如戰勝疾病後的小艾仍會拿起麥克風繼續歌唱一般。
也許會遲到，但她一定不會缺席。
