“I will say of Yahweh, “He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust.” For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler, and from the deadly pestilence.” (Psalms 91:2-3 WEB)
Some believers expect God to deliver them while they are still complaining and murmuring. “Where is God? Nothing is changing. I will believe only when it happens.”
Notice how in the passage above, “I will say” comes before “He will deliver you”? Also, the word “for” means that the previous sentence is the trigger for the current sentence.
The word “say” is in the imperfect tense, meaning that you keep saying. Not just one time.
Don’t just pray once and then say, “It doesn’t work. Nothing happened.” Then you just negated what you prayed previously. Hold on to your confession of faith until the breakthrough happens. It may take a period of time, but continue to speak what you want to see.
