如果你已經很確定你想要當軟體工程師， 並且已經轉職完，苦無機會證明自己呢？ 好消息是，現在有另外一種方式可以讓你進入矽谷的科技公司，那就是各家公司都在推出的學徒計畫 Apprenticeship Program。

各大科技公司目前都在前仆後繼地開啟學徒計畫，目的是更廣納各式背景的軟體工程師，希望招攬更多女性、少數民族、或是非傳統 CS 出生的軟體工程師加入。 一般學徒計畫會比初階軟體工程師的面試稍微再簡單一些，有些都還不用實地去公司面試， 被錄取後大概會有為期數個月的帶薪學習/工作，並證明自己能力的機會。 如果表現的好的話，許多人也是可以順利轉為正職軟體工程師， 省下了不容易得到面試機會、或是通不過面試的不確定性。

MicrosoftL LEAP (2021/09/09 更新)
16 週的學徒計畫， 軟體工程師的學徒計畫有 4 個地點可以選擇，Technical Program Manager、Cybersecurity Engineer、User Experience Designer 的計畫則只有在美國 Redmond 微軟總部，這個梯次的申請到 9/15 截止。申請得需要寫 2 個 essay，並且需要有一些工作經驗， 過去 6 個月內不能被微軟有任何形式的雇用的條件。軟體工程師的學徒計畫想要找有自學經驗、從 bootcamp 、或是社區大學、如果是相關科系的話， 得有 2 年的工作經驗 gap 才可以。 微軟學徒計畫有除了軟體工程師外的選擇， 讓非工程師的朋友也有計畫申請， 申請上的話從 2022 年的 2月到 6 月開始， 目前因為疫情， 都會是線上參加。 上次一開放申請當天， 就因為太多人申請，系統不堪負荷而關閉了， 對於這次有想要申請的得動作加快了！

苦手な仕事やあまりやりたくない業務を任された時、「これも仕事の一部だから仕方がない」と言うことがありますが、英語ではどのように表現するのでしょうか？

It comes with the territory.

「これも仕事のうちです」や「仕事の一環です」と言う場合によく使われる言い回しです。Territoryは「領地」、come withは「ついてくる」を意味することから、「it comes with the territory」は、ある物事が仕事や職業の範囲内であることを意味します。基本的に、あまり気が進まない仕事や、好ましくない仕事に対して用いられ、「仕事の一環だから仕方がない」というニュアンスが含まれます。
　
✔「Go with the territory」と表現してもOK。
　
✔「Part of the job（仕事の一環）」も同様の意味。
　
＜例文＞
　　
I have to go on business trips twice a month. It comes with the territory.
（私は月に2度出張に行かないといけませんが、これも仕事の一環です。）
　
Sometimes I have to work past midnight but that goes with the territory when you're an accountant.
（時々、深夜過ぎまで仕事をしないといけないのですが、会計士として働いている以上仕方がないですね。）
　
I have to deal with customer complaints. It's part of the job.
（私は顧客のクレームに対応しないといけません。それも仕事の一環です。）

A: You do everything from customer service to management?
（顧客対応からマネージメントまで全てを担っているんですか？）

B: It comes with the territory when you run a business.
（小さな会社を経営していたら当前のことですよ。）

A: You have to translate documents for your coworkers? I thought you were a sales manager.
（同僚のために翻訳をしないといけないのですか？あなたは営業部長ですよね？）

B: Yeah but it's part of the job. I got used to it.
