What a great morning ride with Abang Syah and Kak Hani and his son today at Mushrif Park. Did an hour ride with the mountain bike that I borrow from Abang Syah.

Super like the cycling track here around the park. No car allow on the cycling track. Did a few laps there on the mountain bike and ride on the heaviest gear. At the hilly part, it was pretty challenging, and I am glad that I got through it with the legs I have. Definitely a great cross training for me here during the weekend when I don't do the stairs.

Then we went to @nurmalaysia_dubai for Malaysian Food! Had roti sardin, nasi lemak bungkus, ayam goreng, teh c tarik and keropok lekor. Delicious food. Recommended. Gonna go there with my American friend Bryan next round!

During the breakfast, we shared our experiences and I got learn many things from Abang Syah and Kak Hani where they previously was based in Dhaka, Bangladesh, and they were here in Dubai almost 3 years.

We also got to meet En. Nazri from the consular in Dubai. He shared with us some information about the Expo 2020. Can't wait to visit @expo2020dubai next week!

Thanks Kak Hani for getting in touch with me after my post in Malaysian in Dubai Facebook group and they happen to stay near my place in Mirdif. I am so grateful for that, that I can follow Abang Syah to his workplace during the weekday and then take the metro to another Malaysian, @aniza71433 to visit her.

So grateful to have meet many kind and nice people here! Appreciate all your support.

Took a short pause from work today to just admire these photos from our last trip before the world was brought to its knees by COVID-19.

For two whole weeks, we got to know our family in Bangladesh and soaked in the local culture as much as we could while integrating into the hustle and bustle of Dhaka life.

Shortly after taking this photo, Bobby, Rubbi (our cousin) and I went to a tea stand and enjoyed a nice cha time with the ever-friendly local folks.

My Doodh Cha (Bengali Milk Tea) tasted particularly aromatic as they were meticulously brewed all day with tea leaves and spices. The mood was positively heightened as we went for a second cup of tea while indulging in some jilapi (a delicious light fritter dipped in a sugar syrup).

The power of good grub. Hehe!

Time to unplug too, belles and beaus! Keep swiping to take a walk through Dhaka's enchanting streets with me.

[TRẮNG NEWS] BANGLADESH: CHÌM PHÀ CHỞ THEO NGƯỜI DÂN RỜI THÀNH PHỐ TRƯỚC LỆNH PHONG TOẢ VÌ DỊCH COVID19 😢

Giới chức Bangladesh cho biết, tính đến chiều 5/4, số người thiệ.t mạ.ng trong vụ chìm phà trên sông Shitalakhsya trước đó một ngày đã tăng lên 26 người. Thông tin ban đầu cho hay ít nhất 5 người thi..ệt mạ..ng trong vụ tai nạn này.

Tai nạn xảy ra lúc 18 giờ ngày 4/4 (giờ địa phương) khi chiếc phà 1 tầng rưỡi chở khoảng 50 hành khách đã đâ..m phải một tàu khách lưu thông trên sông Shitalakhsya.

Chiếc phà này rời bến tại thành phố Narayanganj, cách thủ đô Dhaka 20km, chở theo những người rời thành phố trong bối cảnh lệnh phong tỏa trên toàn quốc kéo dài 7 ngày nhằm chống dịch COVID-19 bắt đầu có hiệu lực từ ngày 5/4.

Theo giới chức địa phương, đã có 11 người được cứu lên bờ và chưa rõ còn bao nhiêu người m.ất tí..ch do có thể nhiều người đã bơi về phía bờ sông bên kia.

The beginning was word and the word is a message of care for deserving ummah and our country.

Datin Aisah Mahmud started charity activities when she was in college. The scope of her charitable activities expended enormously when she was chosen by Sir Geldof, an International philanthropist to manage and chair “Sport Aid 88” for Malaysia.

She was asked by UNICEF to see if she could extend help to the poor families in Bangladesh, Datin Aisah Mahmud and her young son Abdul Aziz bin Tan Sri Adenan aged 13, travelled to Bangladesh where she met and sponsored 5 families, but was unfortunately caught in the coup d’état, and were rescued out of Dhaka.

In Indonesia, Datin Aisah Mahmud was approached by Demak population to help build a school for young poor children. With help from her family members, Datin Aisah Mahmud raised fund to buy a piece of land and built a school for them. Now 106 young children from poor families have a place they can call their school.
