I was born and raised in a Thai speaking family. I was a victim of homophobia. I grew up in a very small village, surrounded by narrow-minded people in the South of Thailand. I couldn’t speak English until the age of 15. I started learning English because I needed to escape from that hideous world I lived in. I started my expedition using English as my compass. Learning English back then wasn’t easy. I ended up being bullied and humiliated but I kept on fighting and won. Today, I have finally arrived at a place I once dreamt about. I can use my voice to help change many things in this country. I have been working unceasingly to change people’s attitudes towards learning English in Thailand. My ultimate goal is to get rid of mockery and disdain when it comes to learning English. I’m certain that those who follow me on social media and hear my voice are already on my side and they will stop making fun of their Thai friends who are trying so hard to be good at English.
