#RebunIsland is the northernmost island in Japan, next to Rishiri Island, off the shore of #Wakkanai . There are many scenic and even majestic capes around the island , Cape Sukai (sapphire blue lagoon) , Cape Sukoton (northern tip of the island, also one of a kind ryokan), Northern Canary Park (a movie site turned memorial, can see wonderful Mt Shirishi on a clear day) , and many more. At Funadomari Village, there's a beach carpeted with shells ! The sea is full of them, they just got washed up the shore. And do you know clams kill each other too? By piercing through the enemy shell, and eat the flesh inside! The island is also home to many unique and endangered plant species. #atsumori and #rebungrass are some of them. Atsumori flower also inspires the mascot of the island. @ Rebun Island
