None of our Children are afraid of heights because we trained them from a very young age …
Be it heights , thunder , lizards , cockroaches, darkness - you name it .

Babies have no fear .
They were born to adapt .
But as they grow , the fear is instilled in them through their surroundings on how they were raised .
We scare them with stories to make them go to sleep .
They watch as others cringe seeing insects.
They look at their siblings afraid of lightnings & thunders .
They observe that adults are afraid too .
And they start to develop that fear within them .

We need to overcome our fear in life .
We need to show our kids that nothing else matters .
We need to act calm
We need to lead by example .
Because fear hinders one success .

Phobia là hội chứng ám ảnh, sợ hãi một điều gì đó. Có rất nhiều loại phobia, đôi khi mình nghe họ nói nhiều mà mình cứ bị lộn, không nhớ và không hiểu ý. Mình tổng hợp lại một số phổ biến nhá.

1. Acrophobia (fear of heights): sợ độ cao
2. Astraphobia (fear of thunder and lightning): sợ sấm chớp
3. Claustrophobia (fear of small/enclosed spaces): sợ không gian kín
4. Entomophobia (fear of insects): sợ côn trùng
5. Social Phobia (social anxiety disorder): nỗi sợ về xã hội, các mối quan hệ giao tiếp, tương tác
6. Glossophobia (fear of public speaking): sợ nói trước đám đông

Saya belum tengok ucapan penuh pakar motivasi tu, tapi “Buat bodoh bodoh” ni jika ikut Buku Motivasi Barat berada dalam Nombor satu of Law: berbunyi:

Always make those above you feel comfortably superior. In your desire to please or impress them, do not go too far in displaying your talents or you might accomplish the opposite – inspire fear and insecurity. Make your masters appear more brilliant than they are and you will attain the heights of power.

Everyone has insecurities. When you show yourself in the world and display your talents, you naturally stir up all kinds of resentment, envy, and other manifestations of insecurity. This is to be expected. You cannot spend your life worrying about the petty feelings of others. With those above you, however, you must take a different approach: When it comes to power, outshining the master is perhaps the worst mistake of all..

Never outshine the master means don't look better than your boss. It sounds simple but gets more interesting the better you understand it. Essentially it means to be humble.

Jadi.., pada pendapat saya lah, Jika Najib buat bodoh-bodoh sikit depan Tun, rendah diri sikit depan Tun, dan buatkan idea hebat Najib seolah dari nasihat Tun, tentu Tun tak keluar Umno dan panjang lagilah tempoh Najib jadi PM dan rasanya takdelah kita semua kena hadap PKP3.0 macam sekarang lepas tu gaduh bab pilih isteri cerdik sedangkan pilih PM cerdik pun kita tak reti!

Kesimpulannya tak kesah pakar motivasi mana yang cakap, Barat atau melayu, saya setuju:

My friend fell off a waterfall over 2 years ago and hasn't been cliff diving or bridge jumping since. I decided to take him on a crazy adventure that would tackle his fear head on!

One of my favorite things to do in summer is bridge jumping and cliff diving so I wanted to help my friend overcome his fear of heights and diving. We cycled to the beautiful Jubilee River in the English Countryside for a bridge jumping adventure. Here he would face his fear and hopefully overcome it.

I hope you enjoy this adventure video and please let me know if you would like to see more adventure vlogs like this one :D

I'm not a nature kinda person but I truly enjoyed it! We did the Signature Rainforest Experience which allowed us to experience The Habitat with a gHabitat Naturalist, Mr Loh, was so nice. He showed us some very interesting plants around The Habitat which I personally would love to have, especially the Tiny Orchid [ Vegas was smelling them in the video] and some other mean plants which can cause one to itch and even turn dumb. Mr. Loh even showed the kids, spiders, Trantulas and other insects which they love. Honestly,the kids loved him! and my job was so much easier with Mr. Loh around. LOL We were lucky to spot a Huge Squirrel, bigger than a cat.

It was my first time on Curtis Crest, the highest viewing point in Penang and I also came to learn about the history of the place. So cool. Heiley's legs was all jelly at Curtin Crest, but she managed to overcome her fear of heights and walked around it. So proud of this little one. I can't wait to visit this place in the evening to view the Sunset. Yes, there is also a Sunset Walk which you can experience. More about that in the comments.

The Signature Rainforest Experience also includes the Flight of Colugo which consist of 5 Ziplines, 1 Abseiling Line and 1 Rope Bridge Walk, both Heiley & Vegas Chan completed it too! I am so proud of them. Mummies & Daddies, if you have ever considered letting your children experience the Zipline I suggest here because all safety measurements were taken and the Zipline Guides looks after the kids like their own.

Overall, it was a great experience and I didn't regret waking up at 6am on a Saturday. Lol. I will surely be back to experience Sunset Walk! If you are not doing anything this weekend, give yourself a treat and enjoy nature at its best at The Habitat Penang Hill.
