BEHOLD! 2/3 of my Gold Plaques for my debut album back in 2009!
Social media wasn't really around for me (or rather I wasn't really around on social media) to flex and by that time, I had already given these to my dad to put in his office since I haven't given him a straight A report card for years. 😆 I've caught the reminiscent bug and so I would just like to take this opportunity to thank each and every single one of you who has bought, downloaded, shared my music to the ones you know and love.
I would like to thank all media and publications who have supported me through the years, especially in the beginning, (looking at you, Rolling Stone, CNN, NPR Music, Entertainment Weekly, Billboard, Paste Magazine)
But of course, to my once family Brushfire Records and Monotone Management, who believed enough to invest their time and energy in a girl from a small town called Miri in Sarawak, Malaysian-Borneo.
To my actual family, without your blessings and support, I would've never been able to have this journey.
To old and new friends, thank you for accepting me for all I have and lack, and for all of your patience and understanding.
My only hope for the next decade is to keep creating music for all of us, whether I'd be singing them or not. I shall keep bettering myself so I can continue to make music that matches with my growth, so I can keep on sharing my experience, knowledge and wisdom with you.
I love you all, dearly. Thank you for making this the best decade I could ever have hoped for.
