Thanks to Prime Minister Ralph Gonsalves of #StVincentAndTheGrenadines for his call for #Taiwan's inclusion in global bodies at the #UNGA76 General Debate:

"It is high time for this United Nations and its agencies to cease their exclusion of Taiwan from meaningful participation. Surely, the world will benefit from Taiwan’s inclusion in global bodies such as the World Health Assembly, the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, the International Civil Aviation Organization, and INTERPOL. Concerted, multi-lateral cooperation on global matters such as health, climate change, civil aviation, crime, and so forth requires all hands on deck, metaphorically speaking. Taiwan is a relatively small, but legitimate, political expression of the magnificent Chinese civilization; it has been an impressive economic miracle; it is a thriving democracy; and it has a right to ask for meaningful inclusion in the relevant global institutions. New times demand fresh solutions, not old-fashioned hegemonic responses."

Taiwan's vision of global partnership can serve as a valuable reference for the UN.

史瓦帝尼認為排除台灣違反聯合國憲章

史瓦帝尼總理戴克禮敦促聯合國考慮讓台灣有意義的參與，尤其是WHO、ICAO及UNFCCC，納入台灣，聯合國才有希望實現它的目標，平等顧及各會員國的利益。

自疫情以來，台灣持續向世界各國分享經驗與資源，與聯合國會員國一起實現聯合國大會主題，將台灣排除在聯合國這個理應服務全球公民的體系之外，並歧視台灣人民，嚴重違反聯合國憲章不可撼動的原則。

台灣的夥伴價值，值得聯合國重視。

Thanks to #Eswatini Prime Minister Cleopas Dlamini for his words backing #Taiwan's meaningful participation in UN systems at #UNGA76:

"The persistent exclusion of the Republic of China (Taiwan) from the United Nations and the discrimination of its citizens in a system meant to serve international citizens, is a gross violation of the unshakeable principles of the UN Charter. Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, Taiwan, in solidarity with UN Member States, made a significant contribution in realizing the theme of this year's session.

Eswatini would again this year continue to urge the United Nations to consider the meaningful participation of Taiwan, especially in the World Health Organisation, the International Civil Aviation Authority and the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change. With this inclusion of Taiwan, it is our hope that the UN will be living up to its objectives and equally serving the interests of all its member states.

The path to 2030 on the attainment of the UN SDGs was dented as a result of the pandemic, and Taiwan, adhering to the principle of leaving no one behind, shared its disease prevention expertise and experience with more than 80 countries and further assisted 40 countries make headway in ICT, agriculture, education and health.

Furthermore this year, in demonstrating that 'Taiwan Can Help, and Taiwan is Helping', Taiwan continued to send medical assistance, in the form of medical specialists and protective equipment for Eswatini’s health sector. It is in this light that we call upon for the recognition of Taiwan's efforts for the global well-being.

Lastly, the Kingdom of Eswatini can attest to the fact that Taiwan is an indispensable partner and would, if given an opportunity, play a meaningful role in the global body."

Taiwan's vision of global partnership can serve as a valuable reference for the UN.

Vietnam Airlines tham gia bay thử nghiệm tàu bay CRJ900 Bombardier

Hôm 20-11-2018, nhà sản xuất máy bay Bombardier của Canada đã thực hiện màn trình diễn máy bay phản lực loại nhỏ Bombardier CRJ900 tại Hà Nội với sự tham gia của Vietnam Airlines.

Chuyến bay trình diễn của Bombardier CRJ900 xuất phát từ sân bay Nội Bài lúc 12 giờ, bay quanh Vịnh Hạ Long và trở về lúc 13 giờ 15 phút với tổng giờ bay là 1 giờ 15 phút.

Sự xuất hiện của CRJ900 tại Hà Nội lần này nằm trong kế hoạch giới thiệu mẫu máy bay phản lực loại nhỏ cho Vietnam Airlines của Bombardier.

Bản thân Vietnam Airlines cũng đang trong giai đoạn nghiên cứu khai thác máy bay phản lực loại nhỏ thế hệ mới thay thế cho đội bay ATR72 sử dụng động cơ tuốc bin cánh quạt, nhằm đổi mới đội tàu bay, nâng cao hiệu quả khai thác và chất lượng dịch vụ trên các đường bay ngắn.

Vài nét về CRJ900

Đến trình diễn tại Nội Bài lần này là chiếc CRJ900 mà Bombardier vừa mới sản xuất, đang chuẩn bị bàn giao cho hãng Delta Air Lines (Mỹ). Máy bay được trang bị nội thất thiết kế hiện đại, cửa sổ lớn đón nhiều ánh sáng tự nhiên. Ngoài ra, CRJ có thiết kế động cơ ở đuôi, giúp giảm thiểu tiếng ồn, tạo sự thoải mái cho hành khách bên trong.

Được đưa vào khai thác từ 2003, CRJ900 là tàu bay phản lực thuộc dòng CRJ family do Bombardier sản xuất bao gồm các biến thể CRJ100/200/700/900/1000. Với thiết kế cấu hình 76-90 ghế, tầm bay khoảng 3.000km, tốc độ tối đa 871km/giờ và sở hữu công nghệ giải trí không dây, CRJ900 đang được nhiều hãng hàng không lớn trên thế giới khai thác như American Airlines, China Express, Delta Air Lines, Lufthansa… Đến thời điểm hiện tại, 500 chiếc CRJ900 đã đã được bàn giao cho các khách hàng trong tổng số 1946 tàu bay thuộc dòng CRJ Family.

Nói riêng một chút về nội thất chiếc CRJ900 của Delta Air Lines đem đến trình diễn lần này. Tàu bay tuy nhỏ nhưng được chia làm 3 hạng dịch vụ với 76 ghế. Trong đó có 12 ghế hạng nhất nội địa Mỹ được sắp theo cấu hình 1-2, 20 ghế hạng Delta Comfort+ với khoảng cách ghế rộng được sắp theo cấu hình 2-2 và 44 ghế hạng phổ thông được sắp theo cấu hình 2-2.

Cơ hội của CRJ

Cơ hội của Bombardier tại các hãng hàng không khu vực Đông Nam Á nói chung và Vietnam Airlines nói riêng đang mở rộng khi thị trường tăng trưởng tốt. Tuy nhiên, để có đơn hàng, Bombardier CRJ900 còn phải cạnh tranh với nhiều đối thủ khác.

Hiện nay, Vietnam Airlines cũng đang tiến hành nghiên cứu hiệu quả khai thác các dòng máy bay phản lực loại nhỏ khác, bao gồm Airbus A220 của liên doanh Airbus và Bombardier (trước đây là CSeries CS100/300 của Bombardier), E190-E2 và E175-E2 của Embraer, MRJ70/90 của Mitsubishi, SSJ100 của Sukhoi. Tháng 10-2018, Vietnam Airlines đã tham gia chuyến trình diễn tại Nội Bài với tàu bay E190-E2 của nhà sản xuất Embraer (Brazil) để đánh giá những tính năng của loại tàu này.

Theo kế hoạch phát triển tổng thể của Vietnam Airlines giai đoạn 2021-2025, tầm nhìn đến năm 2030, Hãng dự kiến có khoảng 20 chiếc tàu bay phản lực loại nhỏ. Sau khi lựa chọn loại tàu bay phản lực loại nhỏ phù hợp, Vietnam Airlines có thể sẽ thuê ướt một số tàu trong khoảng 6 tháng để thử nghiệm và đánh giá hiệu quả khai thác thực tế trước khi quyết định thuê hoặc mua để thay thế ATR 72 trong dài hạn.

Hướng tới 5 sao

Trong những năm qua, Vietnam Airlines cũng có những bước ngoặt quan trọng trong việc định vị là hãng hàng không 4 sao, tiến tới mục tiêu đạt 5 sao.

Cách đây 3 năm, vào năm 2015, Vietnam Airlines trở thành hãng hàng không đầu tiên ở châu Á - Thái Bình Dương cùng lúc khai thác hai dòng máy bay thân rộng hiện đại là Airbus A350-900 XWB và Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner. Cùng với kế hoạch mở rộng đội tàu bay thân rộng, Vietnam Airlines cũng nâng cấp đội bay thân hẹp Airbus A321ceo lên Airbus A321neo thế hệ mới tiết kiệm nhiên liệu, thân thiện môi trường, với 20 chiếc 321neo được bàn giao từ nay tới cuối năm 2019.

Với vai trò là hãng hàng không quốc gia, đội bay của Vietnam Airlines không thể thiếu những tàu bay nhỏ phù hợp với năng lực tiếp nhận của những sân bay địa phương. Do đó, bước đi đáng chú ý tiếp theo của hãng trong chiến lược hiện đại hoá đội bay là thay thế những chiếc ATR72 bằng máy bay phản lực thế hệ mới, nhằm nâng cao hiệu quả khai thác một số thị trường ngách, gồm đường bay ngắn, lượng khách nhỏ, sân bay có cơ sở hạ tầng hạn chế.
