Đam mê nghiên cứu về khoa học vũ trụ và các thiên thể, Thu Minh, 21 tuổi, TP HCM sớm nhận ra rằng Mỹ là quốc gia đứng đầu thế giới về lĩnh vực này. Chọn đi du học sớm khi sang Mỹ với suất học bổng toàn phần bậc trung học Mỹ theo chương trình Giao lưu văn hoá, Thu Minh rút ngắn quá trình học trung học hoàn thành trong 2 năm.

Nhỏ tuổi hơn các bạn cùng lớp và gặp không ít khó khăn khi làm quen với cách học tại Mỹ, các kiến thức mới, em đã phải "chiến đấu 200% công lực". Suất học bổng toàn phần chỉ áp dụng cho một năm học, tuy nhiên, nhờ thành tích tốt, nhà trường đã đồng ý cấp tiếp học bổng năm lớp 12 cho em. Nhờ vào quá trình này mà em đã có được bằng tốt nghiệp trung học Mỹ và là lợi thế rất lớn để dự tuyển vào các trường đại học.

Lê Thu Minh sau đó trở thành cử nhân danh dự tại Viện Công nghệ Florida (FIT) với suất học bổng trị giá 93.000 USD.

Chia sẻ về FIT, FIT được xếp hạng top trường Đại học tốt hạng nhất toàn quốc Mỹ do tổ chức U.S.News và Golden Age University do Times Higher Education công nhận và đánh giá. Tuy không phải là trường thuộc Ivy League nhưng Florida Tech có thế mạnh lớn trong khối ngành STEM của bang Florida. Trường thuộc Top 20 Viện Công nghệ hàng đầu giảng dạy hơn 200 chuyên ngành và chương trình đào tạo. Trường còn rất chú trọng về mảng nghiên cứu thực hành (hands-on research) cho sinh viên từ năm nhất đến năm tư.

Là sinh viên ngành Thiên văn học & Vật lý thiên thể, điều em thích nhất ở Florida Tech sở hữu kính thiên văn lớn thứ 2 ở bang Florida. Một ngạc nhiên thích thú cho em là trong khuôn viên trường có một Vườn Bách Thảo (Botanical Garden) rộng 6 ha tràn ngập những loại thực vật và động vật nhiệt đới khác nhau.

Khi săn học bổng, nội dung chương trình trung học có các lớp định hướng và hướng dẫn học sinh trong cách thức chuẩn bị hồ sơ nên em không gặp nhiều khó khăn. Tuy nhiên phần em lo lắng nhất là bài tự luận vì bạn phải diễn tả cá tính của mình chỉ với 650 chữ. Tìm ý tưởng chính là bài toán khó với em.

Tại FIT, em tham gia các hội sinh viên về vật lý, thiên văn, không gian như Student Astronomical Society (SAS), Society of Physics Student (SPS), Students for the Exploration and Development of Space (SEDS) và nắm giữ các chức vụ như Phó Chủ tịch và Chủ tịch hội qua các năm.

Ngoài ra em cũng tham gia vào nhiều hoạt động tình nguyện như tổ chức các sự kiện, hội chợ tuyển dụng (Career Expo), thành viên hội đồng hỗ trợ sinh viên quốc tế. Bản thân là sinh viên đại diện - Student Ambassador cho bộ phận tuyển sinh của trường để phát triển các kỹ năng cần thiết cho bản thân. Tuy quỹ thời gian bận rộn nhưng em vẫn cân bằng giữa học tập - làm việc - sức khỏe để mang lại hiệu quả tốt nhất.

繼《五星級魚乾女》、《黑白》後，守夜人 Night Keepers 團長旭章 WIFI 再度攜手林孝謙導演共同詞曲創作影視作品，替他睽違三年執導的劇情長片《跟你老婆去旅行》製作插曲。

歌曲則延續守夜人 Night Keepers 一貫擅長的聊癒民謠風格，行進的吉他律動搭配合成器聲，緩緩鋪陳出一段傷感卻又浪漫的情懷。在躁動、焦慮的一年，讓我們乘著這首歌的翅膀，一同呼吸一大口溫暖的空氣，成為暫時被封印不能旅行的一個內心出口。

【關於守夜人樂團】
入圍 2020第31屆金曲獎的Night Keepers守夜人，是少數擁有不同身份使命的創作演唱組合。時而涉足電玩，時而出版圖文詩集，有時只是用音樂表達一個失眠人對這世界的種種期待、躲藏、痛苦與觀察，持續以跨界合作方式推出作品。樂團將這樣的精神在現場演出時，以帶有感染力的演出讓聽眾放鬆與產生自然的互動為名。

守夜人期望能扮演「療癒使者」，用音樂、文字、影像、設計、live 演出與聽眾互相交流。並透過人工智慧軟體「聊天機器人」，與聽眾在睡前互相記錄、交換自己空虛、痛苦、孤獨的故事，藉此達到一種「團體治療」的效果，讓每個人都有機會成為彼此的守護者(Keepers)。
