#2005年王建民剛加入紐約洋基隊，我打電話給他的經紀人 Alan 張嘉元說，我想拍王建民紀錄片。Alan 很親切，他說，如果我真的去了紐約，他們很願意讓我採訪。
#那幾年的王建民風潮是台灣人的共同回憶。當時我在波士頓念書，隔年搬去紐約工作，我好驕傲有位台灣人在一個最大的舞台上，閃閃的在發光。那幾年，許多國際人搞不清楚 Taiwan 不是 Thailand；那幾年，在國際競技場上揮揚台灣國旗不會碎中國玻璃心。
#2021年好妙的我被邀請主持王建民紀錄片的映後座談，將在台灣時間 6/6（日）早上10點線上放映，連結在本文最下方。
與談人是紀錄片《LATE LIFE: THE CHIEN-MING WANG STORY 後勁: 王建民》導演陳惟揚（Frank W. Chen）及製片楊明燊（Brian Yang）。這部片跟著王建民四年，去了21個城市，獲得洛杉磯及溫哥華影展的觀眾票選獎，也入圍台灣金馬獎最佳紀錄片。這是陳惟揚的第一部導演作品，他接下來要拍曾雅妮。Frank 跟我一樣都是初中離開台灣，他去加拿大，除了電影工作之外，他也是建築師，音樂家。
我也好榮幸終於可以跟楊明燊聊天。Brian 是位台美人，2013年製作了林書豪紀錄片《LINSANITY》，在日舞影展全球首播。他現在是個忙碌的製片，手上有長片劇情片，也有更多台灣之光的紀錄片，包括高爾夫球選手曾雅妮，以及台灣的第一枚奧運獎牌得主「亞洲鐵人」 Maysang Kalimud 楊傳廣。
