“Pixel Invasion” 喻意對80-90年代, 直捲全球的電子遊戲致敬。
歌曲以遊戲氛圍為中心, 令人振奮的即興演奏和吸引的旋律，
在Jason的好友Anup Sastry鼓樂加持下，有如置身遊戲世界內。
更重要的一點是，有幸邀請了世界級結他大師Andy James 參與撼動的Solo部份。

專輯標題 - NAKA日語單詞 なか , 意思為“中間” , ”中庸之道”
Jason藉以他的創作, 表達兩極之間應取得平衡，中庸之道， 將這個詞的含義投放在歌曲中。
這張專輯跨越了重型亦著重悅耳和令聽眾留痕的旋律，體現了他作為無框架的創作人，專業的樂手身份中尋求平衡和中庸的渴望，並以NAKA作生活原則。

[JASON KUI DEBUTS FIRST TRACK FROM HIS FORTHCOMING ALBUM, NAKA]

Prosthetic Records is proud to announce the second studio album from guitar maestro, Jason Kui. Naka is a diverse and exciting collection of songs that show off his eclectic prowess. His travels as a sought-after session musician have inspired his writing process for Naka and his broader musical journey. Naka will be released via Prosthetic on February 14.

Of the track, Jason comments: “Pixel Invasion is an homage to 80’s-early 90’s video games. There is a strong gaming vibe to it - it has exhilarating riffs and catchy melodies, assisted by Anup Sastry’s intensive drumming and mixing skills, it boosts the energy to the max. Last but not least, I invited the mighty Andy James to play a ripping guitar solo.”

The album title is a Japanese word meaning “in between”; Jason has applied the meaning of the word to his own life and work in the form of balance and contrast. The album straddles both heavy and melodic music, charting the desire for balance in his artistic, professional and personal life and absorbing Naka as a principle to live by.

About author
JASON KUI, A Hong Kong-based rock and blues musician and composer, is a session and touring guitarist. He has worked for many well known artists and singers in Hong Kong and China. Kui started his career as a sideman at the age of 23, and has played countless shows at the Coliseum, Hong Kong’s largest venue which seats 12,500. Kui recently finished a two-year world tour as lead guitarist for Eason Chan, Hong Kong’s legendary singer. The 135-show tour included venues in China, Southeast Asia, Australia, New Zealand, Canada and the USA, including Madison Square Garden. The two finale shows were performed at Beijing’s Bird’s Nest Olympic Stadium to sellout crowds totalling 100,000 people. Apart from frequent gigs in Hong Kong, Kui often works in mainland China. He was the in-house guitarist for the TV show “I Am A Singer” in the 2013-2014 season. The final episode of that show registered 300 million viewers. Kui released his debut instrumental CD, Absence of Words in 2017 and NAKA in 2020 featuring Anup Sastry and other top notch musicians like Josh Smith, Andy TImmons, Andy James, Tom Quayle and more... A new single, Sky Rush, has recently been released. It's on all streaming platforms. Kui uses Tom Anderson guitar, Mesa Boogie amps and David Laboga cabs and Jim Dunlop picks.
