Happy Birthday to my sweet and affectionate son.
Yesterday, coming home from school, Andrew told us:
Andrew: Today, I saw xxx asked xxx if he could be her friend? The boy just looked at her, and walked away. I felt so bad for her that I went up to her, and asked, 妳要不要當我的朋友?(Do you want to be my friend?) And her heart flattered.
Mommy: How do you know?
Andrew: I can feel it! She was very happy, and she said, 好!(Yes!) So I made a new friend today.
Being 6 is no longer a baby, nor a toddler, but a little boy. Mommy watches you grow everyday, and I know you have turned out well. Your creativity blows my mind! Your concentration is debatable, but just like you said, I can only concentrate on the things that I like. Frankly speaking, I love your self-esteem when you said that, and it is true, we tend to focus on the things we love.
You’ve grown so much! Mentally and physically. You boost mommy up when I am sadden by how time flies and you are growing up so fast.
“I will always be your baby, no matter how old I am. And I will always love you to the moon and back.”
Always be the kind and friendly person that you already are, but don’t be afraid to stand up for yourself when needed.
You will always be my hero, my buddy and my motivation. Mommy’s love for you is forever, no strings attached.

[GIVEAWAY BELOW] I think what surprises people most is when I tell them that (in contrary to my online portrayal) I’m actually someone with low self-esteem + am super insecure. I’m coping a lot better today, but self love was definitely something I lacked throughout my teenage years. I don’t have the perfect solution on “how to boost your self confidence” but have courage and BE FEARLESS - Do the things you love, give it time and be patient with yourself, surround yourself with positive people who can assist you in this journey and most importantly, remember that there’s no need to be better than someone else, because there’s always going to be someone better than you - just be the BEST version of YOURSELF.

1. Come up with 10 ideas every day
#Think about how to reduce poverty, how to solve a daily problem you have, #interesting movie #ideas, or anything. It doesn’t matter what subject your ideas fall into, as long as you’re working yr #brain & your #idea #muscles. Yr list might even lead to a new startup idea or writing subject.
2. Use a word-of-the-day app
Increase your vocabulary. You can also try to learn new vocabulary in a different language. Every day, try to add 5 to 10 more words to the foreign language you are trying to pursue.
3. Do something scary
“Getting out of our #comfortzone always makes us wiser.” Every day, push yourself a little further. Try public speaking by joining a #ToastMasters class, lead a meeting by volunteering a proposal at work, or reach out to someone you really admire by sending a quick letter or email.
4. Write down what you learn
It doesn't have to be pretty or long, but taking a few minutes each day to #reflect in writing about what you learned is sure to boost yr #brainpower.
5. Have smart #friends
It can be rough on your self-esteem, but hanging out with folks who are more clever than you is one of the fastest ways to #learn. Keep a smart #company. Remember your IQ is the average of 5 closest people you #hangout with.
6. Read a lot
Opinions vary on what's the best brain-boosting #reading material, with suggestions ranging from developing a daily newspaper habit to picking up a variety of fiction & nonfiction, but everyone seems to agree that quantity is important. #Read a lot.
7. Explain it to others
If you can't explain it simply, you don't understand it well enough. Make sure you've really learned what you think you have learned & that the information is truly stuck in your #memory by trying to teach it to others.
8. Make an “I Did” list
At the end of each day, write down what you completed. This will help you feel better about all the things you accomplished, especially if you’re feeling discouraged. It will also help you reflect on how #productive you were & how you can re-structure yr to-do lists for the next day.

Ok, so the first 10 minutes at the nude beach everyone’s eyes are darting around and checking people out … but after that, it feels like the most normal thing you can do. Once you’re surrounded by a group of like-minded people in their most natural form, you realize that we’re more the same than we’re different. You look at people for who they really are, not who their clothes define them as ... and you start to love and respect your own body more. Trust us, there’s no better way to boost your self-esteem than to stand naked before a few thousand people and say “this is who I am”.
Love yourself, love your body, love who you are … because as RuPaul says “If you can’t love yourself, how the hell are you going to love anyone else!”
