When Loccitane approached me to do a product review, right away I agreed to do it for this one product that I absolutely loved. This shampoo has essential oils that cleanse the scalp and if left on for two minutes you would feel this icy-cool sensation on the scalp. It leaves no residue and suits my hair perfectly. Considering how my job requires it to constantly have contact with hair products which damages the hair and scalp such as bleaching and colouring, as well as hair-drying and hair spraying. But frankly my hair loves this shampoo so much that I hardly use any conditioner. Just let it air dry and the next day I wouldn’t even need a hair dryer to style my hair! Pretty amazing.
.
So that is exactly what i wanted to portray when I conceptualise this video, that air light and clean feeling. Given how much time I have in my hands during MCO, I wanted to test out my iPhone XS Max and see how far I can stretch to achieve a semi professional looking video without a DSLR. And here is the result!
.
For this shoot, I used both FilmicPro and iPhone’s setting in 24 fps, with FilmicPro set to Log V2 raw colour profile. And Bitplay Premium HD Telephoto Lens for some close-up shots. Since iPhone XS Max has a classification of IP68 rating under the IEC standard 60529 (maximum depth of 2 metres up to 30 minutes), it was easy to do underwater shots with my phone dipped in the water. The entire clip was edited in Apple’s iMovie. Of course my filming skill is far from being perfect but I think overall the phone has allowed me to achieve something which would otherwise require many professional yet expensive equipment.
