What is Yoga Alliance - a perfect controlling religious organization?
1.Yoga Alliance recommended curriculum is decided by people who have very little understanding of the Yoga Traditions. Their board has people who have done management degrees and working with rich corporate companies, some have been doing asana teacher training courses or teaching some asanas or working with some studios or have done Phd in fitness or running a franchise business. These people are trying to control, rule and govern the Yoga traditions.
They are all business oriented people.
2. Yoga Alliance does not show any trace of Yoga culture or traditions, which have been kept alive by Yoga Masters, Gurus, Spiritual aspirants, Sannyasis or Monks.
3. Yoga Alliance decides the curriculum, which has no basis of any Yoga tradition. They ask schools to pay money and just say that schools have to teach their curriculum. There is no quality check, control, or examination of students/ school or teachers in schools. Yoga alliance is not concerned about this but only registration money.
4. The root of Yoga is in spirituality and non attachment of material aspects of life. Yoga Alliance does seem to be a commercial organization and still they say they are Non Profit.
5.The path of Yoga is different for different people and there was no time when all yoga masters came together and formed one organization. Yoga is the longest surviving culture without this. (to be continuous ) ===============================
