Placement of 10-units composite veneers with injection molding technique with GC Malaysia G-aenial Universal Injectable Composite (Shade BW, as patient requested) is done with minor touch ups with @dental2u composite instruments.
Now, why 10 units? Why not 8?🧐
Patient’s main concern is the wide buccal corridor and “lack of fullness” when she’s smiling. I would prefer to do 8-units veneers but given that her main concern is her wide buccal corridor, I’ve decided to come up with a 10-units veneer digital smile design. Then, I transferred the smile design into her mouth with temporaries (mock-up) and discussed together with her & her companion.
After proper consideration and discussion, she has decided to proceed with 10 units veneer to optimise the improvement on the buccal corridor aesthetics.
The reason I share this story is because I noticed that as patients,they always trust in their dentist’s decision. However as dentists, we should help patient make decisions that is in their best interest, even though it means more work and time spent.
When patient appreciates the treatment outcome, knowing that she is a part of the decision making process, that is the best reward for the extra effort!☺️
