50% đề thi Writing IELTS trong năm 2017 ra về chủ đề Giáo dục (Education) và đây vẫn là một chủ đề được dự đoán sẽ xuất hiện với tuần suất rất cao trong Đề thi 2018.
Vì vậy, cô biên soạn các từ vựng và các ý nghĩa quan trọng để các em tự tin nói và viết về chủ đề này trong IELTS nhé.

🍀 B. Các idioms phổ biến có liên quan đến Giáo dục
- Put/Get your thinking cap on: To engage your mind and think in a serious manner.
- Draw a blank: To get no response from someone when they are asked a question.
- Back to basics: An approach that uses traditional ideas and methods which have been successful in the past.
- Drop out of school/Dropout: To stop attending school completely (leave without graduating).
- Bookworm: This is used to describe someone who reads a lot, all the time.
- From the old school/Of the old school: Holding attitudes or ideas that were popular and important in the past, but which are no longer considered relevant or in-line with modern trends.
- The school of hard knocks: Learning through difficult experiences in life, as opposed to a formal, classroom education.
🍀 C. Các mặt tích cực khi viết và nói về chủ đề Giáo dục
- Teachers at schools or other educational institutions are highly trained personnel with necessary skills to deliver intended messages and lessons in a professional way and simultaneously, create an enjoyable learning environment for students.
=> Giáo viên ở các trường học hoặc những cơ sở giáo dục thường là những nhân sự được đào tạo kỹ càng với những kỹ năng cần thiết để truyền tải bài học theo một cách truyền nghiệp, đồng thời tạo ra một môi trường học thoải mái cho học sinh.
- Regular school attendance which initially may appear as a redundant obligation can do wonders for kids. In fact, frequent contact with peers would be a beneficial instrument to distract young children from detrimental material available on the Internet.
=> Việc tới trường thường xuyên, dù ban đầu có thể bị coi là một sự ép buộc thừa thãi, sẽ đem lại những lợi ích lớn cho trẻ. Trên thực tế, tiếp xúc thường xuyên với bạn bè cùng trang lứa sẽ là một công cụ hữu hiệu giúp trẻ em tránh xa khỏi những thông tin độc hại có mặt đầy rẫy trên mạng Internet.

- Children are drowning in an inordinate amount of pressure from their parents to succeed at an early age. Hectic daily schedules following high expectation takes away the pure joy of being carefree and innocent, the privilege of being a kid.
=> Trẻ em đang bị nhấn chìm trong áp lực nặng nề phải thành công sớm từ cha mẹ chúng. Lịch trình dày đặc theo sau bởi kỳ vọng quá cao cướp đi niềm vui và những đặc quyền của một đứa trẻ.
- Rigid and impractical knowledge incorporated in the official school curriculum fundamentally lack the provision of soft skills to learners such as interpersonal skills or negotiation skills. This turns young minds into future employees with unthinking and mechanical manner at work environment.
=> Những kiến thức cứng nhắc, thiếu thực tế trong giáo trình học chính thức ở trường thường thiếu trầm trọng việc cung cấp các kỹ năng mềm như kỹ năng làm việc với đồng nghiệp hay các kỹ năng đàm phán cho người học. Điều này biến những người trẻ thành những nhân viên có phong cách làm việc máy móc trong tương lai.
