A year ago today, I felt the weight of the world on my shoulders, and it seemed like everything was pointless and impossible. A very lovely and wonderful human scooped me up onto a rooftop, where we just happened to catch the peak of the Perseids meteor shower. I know. It's ridiculous. True story, though.
一年前的今天，我正卡在一個低潮漩渦而生命中的一切感覺起來既沒有意義又不可達成。一個可愛又美好的人就帶我去屋頂看夜景散心，結果竟然剛好遇到一年一度的英仙座流星雨。對，我知道很扯，我的人生是一齣八點檔。
This is a beautiful song by the amazing Brazilian artist Gilberto Gil, so I was initially very stressed about doing the song justice, but eventually the process actually became very peaceful for me. So here's the final product.
這首歌是巴西樂手吉貝托·吉爾超級美的一首作品，所以在摸索這個翻唱的過程中其實壓力很大，因為完全不知道自己能不能勝任一切的音樂跟意境。不過後來發現過程變成一種冥想，而這就是結晶。
3 vocal layers, 3 flute layers, 4 guitar layers, 4 percussion layers, and 1 ambient sound layer. Way too many hours of animating and deleting and re-animating and editing and video work. 1 photo that was my core inspiration and my happy place.
3軌人聲合音、3軌長笛合音、4軌吉他、4軌打擊跟1軌環境聲音。也花了超多小時畫動畫、刪掉、再重新畫動畫、編輯跟剪片。1張為我帶來無數平靜也是靈感主軸的照片。

It's a very ridiculous story behind the scene...
其實這首看似很白癡的MV背後，其實發生了很多故事... 為了錄製這首牛歌，我們特地去找了馬來西亞有名的 #心音合唱團 來合作。結果由於歌詞內容太敏感，老師和學生家長不同意，於是我們改了好幾個版本的歌詞，在好說歹說下才終於答應。
就在錄音前，大馬疫情二度爆發，小朋友連練歌都不能聚集在一起，只好跑去不同家長的家練習和指導，偶爾老師還要透過視訊來教導他們唱歌。
歌曲在千辛萬苦下錄製完成後，我本來計劃11月份在台灣參加完金馬獎後就要回馬來西亞拍這支MV了。但大馬疫情有越來越嚴重的跡象，所以我們決定拖到12月才拍。
到了12月，我突然得知我被警方通緝了，由於不想回國被關在拘留所裡面集體感染。所以想到辦法做了一個很貴的人偶，打算寄回去馬來西亞跟小朋友們一起拍MV，我透過視訊做導演...
馬來西亞的同事花了很長時間到處找場地，開會，勘景，籌備，做道具，連小朋友的23套牛衣服都買了... 但萬萬沒想到！馬來西亞突然施行第2度的行動管制令，規定所有劇組不能拍攝，不能跨州。所以我們只好請馬來西亞的同事花了更多的錢把23套小朋友的牛衣服全部寄來台北，然後打算在台北找小朋友來演小牛...
在十萬火急之際，真的非常幸運 #天母小學合唱團 願意拔刀相助。於是這首歌不小心變成了兩國小學的合唱團的跨國合作... 然後在非常緊急的情況下我們也找到了位於 #貓空 的 #優人神鼓 願意借我們場地拍攝。真的太感動了... 感謝 #東森電視 和 #台北市觀光傳播局 的穿針引線促成了這個拍攝??????
當然，我也要感謝在台北的團隊 #堅持夢想文創，和參與台前幕後的每一位朋友的幫忙，讓這支MV順利完成。還有馬來西亞的同事，和製片團隊 #Cumdy-cumdy Production 以及每一位瞎忙了一場的攝製組夥伴們。祝大家HAPPY牛YEAR，2021一定要好起來！加油！
