The Mid-Autumn Festival is celebrated by all Chinese around the world. It seems that in China, it's a reunion time for families, just like Thanksgiving, while in Vietnam, it's more like a Children's Day. No one tells you that life changes immediately after you’re married, then it changed her again after you gave birth. There is no manual. There is no manual about having to care for a family, your child, your career, your dream, and everything just seems to be on a no-hand-break mode, you just gotta go and get it done. Sometimes I feel like I’m driving at 180/h with windows down- there is no time to even blink!
It’s a little scary to admit out loud that I am really tired to do it all at once. Is it bad to admit that I love work because I get to spend a few hours away from being a mother to me - who thrive under pressure, who love work and achieving milestones. Who chased dreams for myself. Or is it bad if I want to take a few hours longer to sleep in my bed without having to wake up and greet the entire household?
Negativities are louder in our own mind so it’s important to find small happiness while you’re ticking off your to-do-list by days. They get softer and weaker with contentment. Count your gratitude, manifest your good energy and accept your flaws.

It’s always baffled me that we think it’s appropriate to remark about changes in someone’s weight when we see them... this video has been a long time coming.

I’ve used a few examples here that are closest to my personal experiences, but it’s an issue that affects people young and old, skinny, fat and everything in between.
Everyone seems incapable of putting themselves in the other person’s shoes.

It’s really fucking simple. Just shut the fuck up and keep your observations the fuck to yourself.

Maybe it’s a dear friend and you’re concerned about what the changes in their physique indicate about their lifestyle and their happiness... well then find a way to ask them about that! There are plenty of ways to ask someone how they’re doing and if they’re taking care of themselves without highlighting how it shows to everyone who looks at them.

I live behind the scenes these days, working with people who struggle with their physiques and as a confident for friends. I know how sensitive a subject it is, even if they don’t show it and nervously laugh off comments.

I grew up thinking it was an Asian thing, but then I realised that in Asia people (particularly older relatives) are particularly blunt about it with “Wah, so fat now ah?” whereas in the West people like to make it a joke with a “Ooh heck, you’ve let yourself go a bit eh mate!”.

Both parties can go fuck themselves, and I’d love it if as many of you as possible who ever get made even slightly self-conscious about such remarks would take it upon yourselves to tell them so 🖕🏽

神奈川県横浜市の『ラーメンショップいずみ中央店』に伺いました。相鉄いずみ野線「いずみ野駅」から車で約６分「いずみ中央駅」からは1.1km、環状4号線沿いにあります。多くのラーメンショップがそうであるように、こちらも朝から営業されており、朝ラーを楽しみに行かれるラーメンファンの方も多くいらっしゃるようです。ラーメンショップ ではメニューや作り方などにお店ごとの個性が出るのが特徴。またラーメンショップは「家系総本山吉村家」の創始者である吉村実氏がかつて修行していたことから『家系のルーツ』とも言われています。今回は初訪問のお店ということで、ラーメンの味わいも楽しみに伺いました！それでは、早速動画をご覧ください！

We visited "Ramen Shop Izumi Chuo" in Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture. It is about 6 minutes by car from "Izumino Station" on the Sotetsu Izumino Line, 1.1km from "Izumichuo Station", and is located along Kanjo Yongo. Like many ramen shops, this one is open from the morning, and it seems that there are many ramen fans who go to enjoy ramen in the morning. The ramen shop is characterized by the individuality of each shop, such as the menu and how to make it. The ramen shop is also said to be the "roots of the iekei" because it was once trained by Mr. Minoru Yoshimura, the founder of the "Yoshimuraya, the head of the iekei".
