(English below) 台南監獄是我在這裡見過在遺產保護的嘗試中最奇特的一個。最初建造於是日治時代，位在市中心附近，80年代初期原址被拆除時，值勤室和部分牢房被保留，但很奇怪地被移到了13公里外的新台南監獄並重建，然後閒置到荒廢。從Google街道實景就可以看到原址慢慢在倒塌，我覺得不能再更靠近因為那是監獄的一部分。如果任何人知道為什麼會發生這樣的事情，請告訴我，我真的很好奇！(From LTN: 勘查、審議後，未能列入文化資產. 在未來會做什麼?)

Tainan Prison is one of the strangest attempts at heritage protection I've seen here. Originally built in the Japanese era it was located near the center of the city. I drew it as part of Old Tainan. The headhouse and part of the cell block were saved when the site was demolished in the early 1980s. Bizarrely it was moved to the new Tainan Prison 13 kilometers away, rebuilt there, and then just left to rot. You can just about see it on Google Streetview slowly collapsing. I don't think it's possible to get close as it's part of the prison. Apparently it failed to get protected status and then was left. What will happen in the future?

According to the report, the weapon would allow the U.S. to strike Chinese troops 2,500 kilometers away from U.S. soil in Guam, if China invades Taiwan and American allies refuse to let the U.S. army fire from their territory or airspace.

This is one of my favorite ruins in Taiwan, unfortunately the history behind it is not of a positive one. It used to be a copper refinery, the toxin created in the process was released into the mountains kilometers away. It heavily polluted the environment near by even till today, the ocean is two toned because of the waste still washes off from the mines. I DO NOT recommend anybody visit the ruins, because of the toxin left behind still remains, and I didn't know till after my exploration.... just let your drone do the exploration if you must :)

Sirens started wailing in Richardson in Dallas' northern suburbs, warning signals flashed on mobiles urging people to seek shelter as deadly tornadoes swept across the city.

We peeped outside to check if we could see any sign of a tornado touching down, but could only see torrential rain and hear thunder and lightening. Time to clear space in a closet -- just in case we needed to take shelter.

We were lucky -- the tornadoes spared us, and touched down a couple of kilometers away, leaving a trail of destruction.

At least eight people died in Garland, near Dallas, five of them when their cars were blown off a motorway. Three bodies were found in other towns.
Churches were destroyed, cars mangled and trees toppled across a 64km (20 mile) zone from south of Dallas up to suburbs in the north-east.
