Behold the Believing One and you will Believe!
““My old identity has been co-crucified with Messiah and no longer lives; for the nails of his cross crucified me with him. And now the essence of this new life is no longer mine, for the Anointed One lives his life through me—we live in union as one! My new life is empowered by the faith of the Son of God who loves me so much that he gave himself for me, and dispenses his life into mine!” (Galatians 2:20 TPT)
I really love how “The Passion Translation” rendered the verse above.
You are a resurrected being; the old Adamic spirit is dead and gone.
You are currently living a new life in Christ.
The new spirit inside is one that is merged with the Holy Spirit.
How did you come to enjoy this new life?
It was not by your faith in God through keeping the whole Law that earned you salvation.
It was the faith of Jesus Christ, the Son of God that redeemed us.
Jesus had perfect faith in the Father, proven by how He lay down His life for us at the cross, and gave us His own righteousness.
He could have abandoned the mission at any moment, but He didn’t. He loved us until the very end; when He could cry “It is finished,” signifying that the penalty for all our sins have been paid in full.
You cannot get faith apart from Jesus Christ. He is the Author and Perfecter of faith (Hebrews 12:2).
“Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.””(Mark 9:23 WEB)
When we look at our Lord and Savior who has perfect faith, and realize that He is “Him who believes,” we will also receive the same kind of pure and effective faith that manifests supernatural breakthroughs.
See Jesus as the believing one, and you will be transformed into a believer—as He is, so are you (1 John 4:17)!

The Birth of a Serpent Slayer
“She gave birth to her firstborn son. She wrapped him in bands of cloth, and laid him in a feeding trough, because there was no room for them in the inn. There were shepherds in the same country staying in the field, and keeping watch by night over their flock.” (Luke 2:7-8 WEB)
This was the backdrop of Jesus’ birth. The King of glory, God’s precious gift to us, was born on a dark, silent night, and there was no room for Him.
He did not come with great fanfare or a welcoming procession like the kings of the world would have received.
Instead, He came humbly like one of no repute.
But Heaven was not willing to let the Son of God be treated like a nobody.
“Behold, an angel of the Lord stood by them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. The angel said to them, “Don’t be afraid, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy which will be to all the people. For there is born to you today, in David’s city, a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. This is the sign to you: you will find a baby wrapped in strips of cloth, lying in a feeding trough.” Suddenly, there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly army praising God, and saying, “Glory to God in the highest, on earth peace, good will toward men.”” (Luke 2:9-14 WEB)
An angel and the heavenly hosts appeared to shepherds, shining with awesome glory, to announce the good news of the King who was born.
At that point in time, Israel was under Roman rule, and had been ruled by the Gentile kingdoms for many years. The devil had subjugated God’s chosen nation and pressed them hard under his thumb.
However, God’s answer was not loud or dramatic. He sent a baby to be born.
Just as He delivered the children of Israel from Pharaoh using a baby (Moses), He would deliver Israel once more from Satan using another baby (Jesus).
This time, the baby would not be a Lawgiver, but a Law-fulfiller. Jesus fulfilled the demands of the Law through His suffering and death at the cross, and established the New Covenant of Grace for us.
“I will put hostility between you and the woman, and between your offspring and her offspring. He will bruise your head, and you will bruise his heel.”” (Genesis 3:15 WEB)
No matter what its true origins are, today we celebrate Christmas because God made a promise in the Garden of Eden thousands of years ago, that the seed of the woman would crush the head of the serpent. He kept that promise, becoming the prophesied serpent slayer Himself. Christmas is about a promise kept!
Notice that in the prophecy, the one whose head is bruised is the serpent (Satan), but there is another person who is the “offspring” of the serpent. In the original Hebrew, the word “zaraka” is a noun in the singular, masculine tense, meaning one male child.
This wicked male child was destined to have hostility against the offspring (also singular and masculine tense) of the woman, who is our Lord Jesus Christ.
Who is the offspring of the serpent? If you are curious to find out his name as revealed in the Bible, and also the details about his eventual destruction and Jesus’ victory, you can read all the exciting details in “Sandcastles Don’t Last Forever”: https://www.ko-fi.com/s/7b9e3783ae

What about Good Works?
“But when the kindness of God our Savior and his love toward mankind appeared, not by works of righteousness which we did ourselves, but according to his mercy, he saved us through the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us richly, through Jesus Christ our Savior; that being justified by his grace, we might be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.” (Titus 3:4-7 WEB)
Being under Grace does not mean shunning entirely from doing anything. Some are so afraid of the word “works” that they think it’s wrong to do anything. Let us examine the correct place for good works.
The passage above written by the apostle Paul is very clear—we are saved and justified by God’s Grace, not by works of righteousness that we have done.
Through faith in Jesus Christ, we were regenerated (reborn) by the Holy Spirit, and have become God’s heirs.
After establishing these truths, we are ready to read the next verse:
“This saying is faithful, and concerning these things I desire that you affirm confidently, so that those who have believed God may be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable to men; but shun foolish questionings, genealogies, strife, and disputes about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain.” (Titus 3:8-9 WEB)
After being saved, the fruit of our faith in God is good works unto men.
God saved us, enabling us to represent Him on earth to be blessings to mankind. Through us, He wants to do what is good and profitable for men.
Do you want to see more miracles and God manifesting Himself in a greater way to you?
When you make yourself available and ready to do good works unto men, you will see God’s power, wisdom and supply richly poured out in your life.
Aligning yourself with God’s will is like running to stand under a waterfall. You don’t have to beg for a trickle of water. The supply is constant and relentless, to accomplish His all purposes.
The bigger the need, the more generous the divine supply. God needs no qualifications from you—just a willing heart.
Do you think you’re weak and useless? Great! His power shall be demonstrated perfectly in your weaknesses. You and others around you will see that it is clearly God at work in and through you.
Therefore, don’t be afraid of hearing the words “good works”. Now you understand that we don’t do good works in order to be justified by God, but we do them because we are already justified by Him!
There is another dimension about good works that is rarely taught, which is that good works done for Christ will be rewarded with eternal rewards in due time.
Rewards and blessings are two totally different things. Rewards are measured out based on our good works, whereas blessings are paid for by the precious blood that Jesus shed at the cross.
The first book I ever wrote is called “Sandcastles Don’t Last Forever”, and it is about God’s eternal rewards. Some believers are afraid of the judgment seat of Christ, but the truth is that it is a time to receive rewards and there is no way you can receive any punishment there.
There are ways you can increase your rewards and there are also ways you can lose out on them. These are important revelations because it concerns your eternal quality of life and from the signs of our times, it seems that our Jesus return is drawing ever closer!
