The Cue-ing and Do-ing of Vertical Pulling with @tompurvisptrts
-
I don’t usually care to post videos of myself training. I can never imagine why anyone would want to watch it 🥱 This is a little different though.
-
I’m not sat on an ordinary machine.
1) Tom has played with both the resistance and effort cams on this machine to match the profile of the difficulty of the machine to the approximate strength of my movement at the END of a set 😰
-
2) The straps are custom pieces of equipment from www.contractiontools.com in place to remove my elbow flexors (biceps) and grip from the equation by placing the load on my humerus (upper arm) 💪🏽
-
3) There’s some pretty high-level cue-ing going on. This is NOT how you would cue someone who has limited experience - those basics and the superficial “why” behind them is taught on RTS1. Tom has intentionally left out dozens of cues that he’d use on someone less rehearsed. “You have to know what you’re looking at, and what you’re looking for.” This is an example of getting the very most out of a rep with someone, who at the same time admittedly had never used this setup before but had a large amount of internal ownership of their body 🙏🏽

Everything needs to be considered in context before even considering regurgitating it in application. It should provide plenty for thought though and a good coaching example to follow... or at least listening to me squeal should provide some amusement 😅

=================================
--------------------------------------------------
Turn out
--------------------------------------------------
例えば、朝は曇っていたのに、昼から晴れて結局は良い1日になった場合「It turned out to be a nice day.」
<例文>
We dealt with some issues in the beginning but it turned out to be a good trip!
The event last night was a big success. Everything turned out as planned.
A: It really turned out to be a beautiful day today.
B: Yeah, it was a perfect day for a picnic. I'm glad we came.
--------------------------------------------------
End up
--------------------------------------------------
✔「End up + ing」
<例文>
I was planning on studying English today but I ended up watching a couple movies.
Did you end up taking that job offer from Google?
A: What did you end up doing last night? Did you go karaoke with everyone?
B: No. I left about 10 minutes after you did. I was pretty exhausted.

Not gonna lie, October has been extremely tough for me. Being coincidentally my birthday month, having expectations of it to be a good one has inevitably put more stress on my shoulders... Well, i'm just glad I can share these not-so-good moments with you guys, alongside the happy ones.
Ash has left us on the 13th October 2020. He passed on after being sick for 2.5 months (he wasn't eating, poo-ing and had to be force fed daily since then) and after countless of vet visits, blood tests and medication... he eventually passed on after being in the hospital for 5 days. He was 14.
You guys saw Ash through my VLOGs and witnessed his beautiful life, together. I thought I owed it to you to share this piece of news and bring you guys along to be by his side during his last moments. We miss him everyday, and I don't know if our hearts will feel the same again. Ash will always be my first kitty-love!
Stay safe, take care and I’ll see you in my next one ❤️

We were thrilled to be adopting 2 rescue kittens from #CatWelfareSociety!
But as much as we read up articles online or watched videos about what to do and what not to do before the kittens arrived, we were still really shocked when it actually happened.
Our docile girls (1.5 years old) who've never misbehaved so much suddenly hissed and slapped like they were in a 'Cat From Hell' episode, and it left us questioning if we did anything wrong somewhere along the way.
We felt worried and scared for our furkids, but knew that we shouldn't interfere too much as it's the cats' way of setting the hierarchy in the house.
Thankfully there were no wounds nor bleeding etc, phew T~T
Turns out the hissing and slapping is pretty normal (for introduction of cats, especially intro-ing new cats/kittens to adult cats).... although I wouldn't want to go through it again LOL!
We're so super glad the worst is over now!
Looking forward to the second week of them getting along ^~^
A huge thank you to Cat Welfare Society for letting us meet and adopt Korkor & Didi!
They are such adorable bundles of joy, we couldn't be happier!
Please adopt instead of buying because there are many cats out there that are in need loving homes.
You guys can check out their IG, website for adoptions, volunteering, helping to foster cats, and even donations to support them.
