Growing up in the UK as a mixed-race child meant sometimes being put in uncomfortable situations by others because of the way I look. This song is about seeing one of my other non-white school friends being beaten by a bully after he refused to give up his lunch money. I wrote this song to try and turn a negative experience into a positive one，even though my friend was beaten so badly his memory was affected，one day he meets a girl that he will love forever，and can never forget because she becomes part of him - so the story begins with his bones crumbling beneath the fists of the bully，but ends with his love being so engrained in him，she will be part of him even when he is just crumbling bones in the ground.
