《一年容易又年尾》
轉眼間又到年尾,亦是 HR 最忙碌的季節 - 開始製訂 2021 年的 Headcount Budget Planning。好多同事、Candidate、獵頭都紛紛打聽下年市況會點樣,打定個底做好心理準備。
近兩個月同各大 Division Head 開會,撞正疫情第四波殺到,都只可以用兩個字黎總結-悲觀。
80% 的 Front line / Back office 會 freeze headcount (凍結人手),不會增聘人手
20% 的 部門例如: IT, Legal 因人手外流 (如:員工移民) 而需要在半年內填補空缺以維持營運
近半部門招聘經理 (Hiring Manager) 表明聘請 Replacement 空缺時,避免出現裁員風險而傾向以合約制 (Contract) 形或,而非直接聘請 Permanent Headcount。
在部門架構重整 (Restructuring) 上,Division Head 有意減少 Specialist Role,將以往專責某工序的職責分散到多位同事上分擔,以節省成本。例如,日後 HRIS (Human Resources Information System) 的職位將會消失,反而由整個 HR Team 每項 function 派出代表組成 Project Team;傾向減少中層管理 (5萬-8萬) 的職位,反而由對下的 Assistant Manager 出任 acting role,減輕部門所負擔的人力成本。
而當 Hiring Manager interview candidate 時,亦希望 HR 會「比多幾個 choice 佢揀」。2021 年有意搵工的 candidate 將會面對更大的競爭、需要有更多準備、需要突出自己優勢、要有更 eye-catching 的 CV 才能得到青睞。
其中一個 FC (Financial Controller) 更表示一個 FR&A (Financial Reporting & Analysis)的空缺動輒都收到來自每間 big4 各 10-20 份近乎一式一樣的 CV;而一些 Customer Services Officer 的空缺更收到過百個 application,分別來自酒店業、航空業、旅遊業、零售業、甚至有 Master Fresh Grad 都在競爭同一個位。
2021 年就業市場會更為白熱化,每個求職者要預計面對十年以來最大的競爭,絕對需要預早為自己的職涯作出先見的準備,否則在疫情下只會被無情的市場所淘汰。

繼續全無公共性嘅長文,亦同投資或市場無關。三千幾字,意識流,跳嚟跳去,慎入。
TLDR:人生若只如初見,或者係妻不如妾 妾不如婢 婢不如偷 偷不如偷不着。係咪得唔到嘅最好?未必。應該係得到過一次,但唔好再試第二次,咁個感覺就係最好。因為求不得。我在Bankers Club食過碟海南雞飯,16年後仲記得—而我連第一次性交係咩感覺都已經唔係好記得(睇鹹古可以著返條褲,成篇文都冇再講性交)
1. 見 職場心經 講起,我又講兩句(幾千字咁咯),相我同用埋同一張。唔係抄,係致敬。畢竟我地就真係在置地幽會過!(但唔係Bankers Club)。同咩辰衝唔同,我又唔會乜都破舊立新,話冇乜值得懷念。Bankers Club絶對係小眾嘢,有幾多人去過?三十歲以下嘅有冇?
2. 拿,本人就去過啦!呢啲就邱月清個家姐邱月感啦。去過,當然唔係咩有朋友擺酒,或者股東會,業績會之類去過啦(呢啲,我全部都去過)。
3. 就梗係要坐低叫飯食,對住個夜景指點江山(唔通推車?嗰度停車場好貴的),懷念下英殖真好,講下西德馬克之類。結尾仲要係簽返個名,但唔使畀錢。呢啲就邱月感啦
4. 「不過,我都係跟人衫尾啫」。請噓,但即係至少我試過畀球王通坑渠咁,你估人人有資格跟人衫尾?
5. 甚至嚴格嚟講都唔完全係跟人衫尾,故事係咁的,由標哥講起(長期讀者可能知).未睇嘅,睇返medium舊文(https://bityl.co/3dH5),好長氣咁講埃汾蘇花嘅職場生涯,雖然未必順序。
6. 同本文有關嘅,呢篇(https://bityl.co/3dHA),齋睇下半截都得,講我。埃汾英國讀Master後返香港雙失,頭兩份工都係教書,然後轉投銀行,再轉股票。但邊個咁破格,在銀行請個教書佬呢?就係蕉行嘅標哥。
7. 固然人工唔高(2004年嘅萬二蚊都係唔高,之後一年被草裙到萬八,還不錯)(*),但首先標哥教咗我唔少嘢(咁我當年都仲係一個蕃薯,勝在可塑性哥),最重要係,佢算係親手帶我入行—雖然成件事誤打誤撞,我當時乜工都搵,佢亦請咗第二個,只係再有人走,佢又懶唔想登多次廣告唔想見多次人,先搵我執二攤。我又咁啱遲咗教書份工,都未搵工,八號風球入緊機場收到佢電話,就請咗我。未必係必然,但佢就算係改變咗我大半生,畢竟佢大可拎我份CV去包橙皮(打後我成日都見佢做呢樣嘢)
8. 當時,2004年,我在蕉行香港嘅資金部,Treasury,做刁拿青衣(我知係讀D拿,你唔知即係你冇做過銀行)。部門又俗稱「炒房」,但我地炒嘅,好似小學雞啲STEM玩具咁,根本玩唔出咩樣—我唔係笑蕉行小兒科,係感恩。正係因為點玩都唔會點爆大鑊,標哥好放心畀我玩。加上佢又hea,乜都踢晒畀我做—interbank 港紙美金我又做過,外匯我又做,Interest rate swap我都成日做(**),basket credit link note我買過(即係一籃子六間嘢冇一間出事就有高息)—甚至連CDO我都買過(有機會貼啲歷史文件)。
9. 所以睇你點睇,我可以扮廢老講句:有啲人覺得老細乜都唔做踢晒畀你日日白逗人工正仆街,但我覺得係學習好機會,worst situation is the best training。況且標哥只係hea,唔係廢。佢脾氣差,但唔會鬧下屬(只會掟爛自己位部公司電話)。況且佢唔hea,佢就登多輪ad,根本唔會有我。整體佢都係一個相當好嘅上司。雖則我在蕉行只係一年半。
10. 由於我乜都做晒,標哥又大牌,亦都令我要接觸好多人。例如我講過,雖則我A Level英文有個B,Master又在英國讀,但去到2004年我啲英文已經退化七八成。嗰時但凡有鬼打嚟,我都會有啲緊張,因為隔離電話有時聽唔到人講乜,加上金融界啲鬼先唔會好好耐性重覆一次你聽。但標哥例牌唔聽電話,有時望到鬼佬打嚟我接遲啲,仲會串我「聽啦,鬼佬打嚟唔敢聽呀?屌,大學生喎」。於是我唯有硬著頭皮包皮咁聽。「拿,又有進步」
11. 最重要係,佢事無大少都踢畀我,有一期只係得我同佢在刁寧房。咁我地做trade,當然可以揀好多唔同對家。所以好多時其他行嘅sales都搵我地—但標哥只得兩個原則:佢本身識嘅,就唔使傾,經我口話OK。佢本身唔識嘅,就搵我去同啲友傾一輪先,好彩嘅,你第二次先可能會見到佢本尊。擺明係扮晒嘢,好似大明星演唱會咁,推啲奀星出去暖場,我就係暖場嗰個。
12. 暖場除咗令我知道好多術語,知道啲金融人嘅氣場(並加以模彷),亦令我啲英文同普通話由極低嘅基數進步外—仲有令我有好多好嘢食。係食飯,唔係食女。
13. 頭先講過,好多其他行嘅sales嚟巴結標哥,但因為本尊唔會咁易出現,我就等於係狐假虎威。所以佢地會巴結我。點巴?都係飲茶灌水。反正2004年,pre雷曼時代,全行都仲係幾好賺,匯豐股價150蚊(後生嘅以為我講大話)。佢地仲有唔少嘅entertainment budget,衰啲講句,最大嘅當然唔係洗在蕉行身上,但食到月尾,我食餅碎都夠。
14. 餅碎食過乜?令當時萬二蚊人工嘅我,可以去Ritz Carlton(舊址,而家中環AIA定建行嗰度)食日本嘢,當然係sales請。可以請我去河內道唱K(發誓,正K,兩條佬唱,冇其他嘢)再去新東記打邊爐。可以令我有唔少月餅券,當年我阿麻好老懷安慰,覺得我卒之都捱出頭來。但對我嚟講,更重要係,演唱會飛—當然演唱會飛佢地唔會送(除非家燕媽媽),亦唔啱規矩—但,佢地會拎到拎飛。而我亦會足數畀返佢地。有乜用?就梗係,拎嚟溝女啦。睇容祖兒坐到頭幾行喎。
15. 但最重要嘅係,Bankers Club
16. 標哥,係Bankers Club會員—當然係出蕉行錢,但佢有本事叫到公司幫佢出錢,或者係公司有幾個Quota就畀咗一個佢。但我就唔係,而呢啲會員嘅嘢冇得狐假虎威,亦冇得借畀我用。不過標哥自己係會員,佢啲行家都多數係,所以,我狐假虎威做代表,都會去Bankers Club食飯。
17. 好記得第一次,對家想要我地生意,某英資銀行。標哥就叫我放工去Bankers Club,搵呢個人,「老燒豬」(係真名,不過咁多年我估佢都唔會介意,況且佢應該知道個個都咁叫),一個叫Lucille (冇錯係姓朱)嘅女人。
18. 去到Bankers Club,老燒豬當然一早到咗。見到我呢個黃毛小子,都係發下功洗下我腦,叫我記得在標哥面前美言幾句。言談間,都同我講返起,「我一入行就聽過你老細大名啦」「嗰時佢直頭係四大惡人呀,邊個唔識佢」,但弦外之音亦都係,每個人都有佢嘅時間,我老細係威過,但已經回塘,到佢地呢代上位。
19. 我衣衣哦哦咗一輪,都唔知自己講咗乜,都係話佢知其實我都話唔到事,佢話當然明白,但我美言幾句就得。
20. 然後,開始閒話家常,佢就問我有冇嚟過Bankers Club,可能係我啲行為舉止已經出賣。佢就叫我「叫嘢食啦」
21. 於是乎,我就食咗人生中最好食嘅一個海南雞飯。
22. 當然,回憶中嘅味道梗係美好。後來標哥都有再同我去Bankers Club,但就當然老細發辦點菜,好似都冇再食過海南雞飯。
23. 後來,當然仲有去過Bankers Club,股東會呀,有人擺酒呀,有人榮休呀咁。但亦真係冇再食傳說中嘅海南雞飯。
24. 所以就係人生若只如初見,或者係妻不如妾 妾不如婢 婢不如偷 偷不如偷不着。係咪得唔到嘅最好?未必。應該係得到過一次,但唔好再試第二次,咁個感覺就係最好。因為求不得。
25. 港大年代,學到嘅實在冇乜。唯一係貪得意去聽岑逸飛講佛,講貪嗔痴,「求不得苦」。食唔到,好想食—都未係最痛苦。到食到啦,念念不忘,再想食多次,已經冇機會—可能已經最好。排除萬難,再去食多次,發現拎唔返嗰種感覺,返唔到轉頭,要搵更勁嘅嘢,好似毒癮咁,越踩越深。好多嘢都係咁。海南雞飯又好,虛榮又好,愛情又好。
26. 關於Bankers Club,除咗海南雞飯,實在已經講完。不過最後容許我補多段懷念標哥(未死的,退咗休啫),畢竟佢改變咗我大半生。
27. 當時標哥,過時過節前就請我地食飯,都食唔少好嘢。亦都見識佢簽個名就走人,唔使簽卡唔使畀現水嘅豪氣。有時佢仲會請食晚飯,咁有啲同事就當然唔多願意,覺得好似加班咁。我就冇乜所謂。
28. 飯後,標哥例牌捉我地去陪佢聽歌。係聽歌唔係唱歌。去邊聽?多數係酒店,有 Live Music嗰啲。標哥同我講 Santana,講Deep Purple,講Dire Straits,講Pink Flyod,講Led Zeppelin(!)。其他後生同事當然唔多識理佢,唯獨我搭到嘴。
29. 但,點解?「因為我老豆聽!」。聽到呢句標哥就有啲唔高興,「講到我做得你老豆咁喎」。但事實係,因為我老豆十八歲生我,其實仲後生過標哥。
30. 第度唔知,但當時聽啲Live Music,十居其九都係賓佬賓妹唱。
31. 而其中一個賓佬,就係Joey Vidal.乜水?就係衞蘭嘅老豆!亦係衞詩嘅老豆!我點解知?因為我拎過衞蘭嘅CD畀佢轉交個女簽名!
32. 簡直不能相信,咁就16年前嘅事。
(*)當年係因為有教書舊同事去咗太古城地利亞,拉我過檔,兩皮嘢個月。我返去蕉行辭職,獲標哥挽留(因為佢怕煩,咁當然亦因為我唔係十分非常差)。就match 返我個人工。點解係18500 唔係 20000?舊文有寫。但呢個短故事已經話你知三個職場法則:第一,識人好過識字(舊同事介紹我去地利亞)。第二,好多老細係怕煩嘅,又唔係佢嘅錢,加你人工冇你想像咁難。但第三,第啲行業我唔知,但金融圈,你想人工加得快,得兩條路。A,你轉工,跳嚟跳去彈出彈入。B,你拎個屙化兇你老細加人工—Either way,你都係要有個屙化在手。
(**)你可以睇下日鳩日講咩港紙爆煲呀聯匯乜乜呀嘅所謂KOL呀,專家呀,記者呀,有邊撚自己炒過IRS.乜嘢IRS?稅局呀?
