這是拜登政府上任後，台美簽署的 #第一份正式文件 🎉🎉🎉
透過簽署MOU，我國海巡署及美國海岸巡防隊 U.S. Coast Guard 將合力強化雙方 #保護海洋資源🐟、打擊「非法、未報告及不受規範」#IUU 漁業活動、並就 #聯合海上搜救(SAR)⚓️等領域進行合作，以共同確保 #印太地區 的繁榮與穩定。

MOU由我駐美代表 #戰貓 蕭美琴 Bi-khim Hsiao大使及美國在台協會 (AIT/W)執行理事藍鶯 (Ingrid Larson)於美東時間3月25日在華府完成簽署✍️，並由國務院代理亞太助卿金聖 (Sung Kim)、美國海岸巡防隊國際事務暨外交政策處處長Ann Castiglione-Cataldo等官員出席見證。

MOFA Minister Joseph Wu met with AIT Director William Brent Christensen today to celebrate the signing of an MOU to establish the #CoastGuard working group by Ambassador Bi-khim Hsiao and AIT Managing Director Ingrid Larson.
The MOU is the first formal document to be signed between the two countries since US President Joe Biden took office and shows the common aim of systematizing coordination and exchange between them on issues like #MaritimeSafety, #HumanitarianRescue, #fisheries enforcement and #MarineEnvironment, further strengthening the comprehensive partnership.
The signing of the MOU was witnessed by Acting Assistant Secretary of State for East Asian and Pacific Affairs Sung Kim and Director of International Affairs and Foreign Policy Advisor for the US Coast Guard Ann Castiglione-Cataldo and shows Taiwan is committed to working with our international partners to uphold #PeaceAndProsperity in the #IndoPacific region!
