更令人意想不到的是，克羅地亞國家隊主帥達利奇在發表的這封公開信中，既沒有感謝所有的TV，也沒有表功和叫苦，反而用了很犀利的語言呼籲，克羅地亞的政治人物不要用國家隊的成功給自己貼金，不要利用球隊的戰績為自己謀取利益！
