Hyundai was founded by Sung Joo, a South Korean male mosquito, who was born from a farmer's family living in rural area of Kangwon province, south of Korea.
When I was young, Sungju, I dreamed that I wanted to be a student teacher.
But with poverty, he has no capital in education and no chance to follow his intentional dreams.
However, Sung Joo-Yung has been in a youthful businessman.

But shortly after, in the early 1939's, Korea took over Japan.
Rice businesses are being coerced to shut down by the Japanese Army.
He decided to bring his experience and money collected to start a carport business in his hometown in Kangwon province.
But the garage business has to shut down again from the orders of the Japanese government.
In conclusion, both rice trading and car garage business that seems to go well. It's not what he expects.
But then fate seems to be taking his side..

一百多年之前, 當日本的小說家小泉八雲(小泉八雲是一位日本小說家,出生於希臘,原名派屈克·拉夫卡迪奧·赫恩,1896年歸化日本,改名小泉八雲, wiki 出名作品有”怪談”, 多年來致力於東西方文化交流及認識, 被日本文壇視為非常重要的一人)展示了一些年輕的洋妹照片給日本人看時, 他很想知道日本年輕人對於金髮碧眼的洋妹做何感想? 日本人表示, “臉很好看, 但是眼睛太大了, 那是怪獸的眼睛.”。
一百多年過後, 日本人不再覺得老外有怪獸的眼睛, 反而做雙眼皮手術, 或者用化妝技巧做各種的眼睛增大”幻術”, 假睫毛, 瞳孔放大片,隱形變色眼鏡都見怪不怪, 小泉八雲一定會對此有興趣。 時間和價值觀的改變在當時是無法想像的, 尤其是對國外的接受度。
拿頭髮來說, 天生有著淺色或者偏棕色的淺髮對當時的日本女性來說是很難為情的, 誰不願意天生有著一頭烏黑亮麗的頭髮呢? 日本Vogue雜誌編輯就說, “普遍來說, 我們日本人都偏矮, 眼睛顏色都一樣, 髮色也都是黑色, 而這造成我們自卑的心理。 可是我們現在卻可以自由的改變眼睛顏色, 髮色, 甚至我們現在可以腳踏高跟鞋讓我們增高”。
確實如此, 染髮和漂頭髮顏色是很常見的, 不止是金髮, 白金, 綠色, 粉紅色各種顏色的頭髮, 而日本最常見的是茶髪/ちゃぱつ, 很顯見的是整個社會的價值觀正在改變, 公務員, 公權力等職位也正在轉變. 日本三菱銀行的發言人就表示不在乎有染髮的職員。 東京都議會也表示, 如果老師或者學生要染髮, 只要校長同意即可。 甚至日本警察庁也表示, 它們並無法律規範限制改變髮色的行為, “工作場所決定許可就行”。
不只是染髮, 安室奈美惠古銅的膚色配上淺色頭髮風靡了整個日本, 職棒選手, 足球超級巨星中田英壽, 藝人, 都紛紛刻意曬黑膚色, 相撲級別大關的小錦, 曙及武藏丸,有著夏威夷原住民的健康自然膚色, 但是在一票白胖高壯的選手裡也不顯得突兀。
除了改變髮色, 新時代的日本孩子吃的是漢堡和薯條, 身高和體重普遍的比吃魚肉和米飯的父母高, 孩子睡的是舒服的床, 也不用長期跪在榻榻米。 日本女高中生流行的泡泡襪, 一開始的設計是讓四肢在比例上看起來更顯瘦細長。 今日的日本雖然泡泡襪還是賣得很好, 但是日本女性出社會後, 高跟鞋上街是種常識, 尤其是增高鞋的售量和高度一直激增(有些高達25公分), 然而增高鞋對於日本女性並不陌生, 和服所搭配的ぞうり草履本身就很高了。
1997年的大熱日劇Beach Boys, 兩大帥哥反町隆史與竹野內豐為主擔當, 造就了許多日本年輕人嚮往陽光,海灘, 比基尼. 小麥色的皮膚, 挑染的金髮, 為當時日本流行雜誌最潮流的造型。 東京涉谷的109大樓每個月創造出1億日圓的銷售額, 整個東京街頭上, 每個女孩都像芭比, 男孩都像肯尼。 大家都知道, 日本最厲害的是將別人的東西本地精緻化, 他們擅長收集各種別人的資訊, 重新組合後成為日本的一種特色, 大家熟悉的Kapital, Visvim, A Bathing Ape, Neighborhood…等等都是將國外的訊息重新組合的最好例子。 走在路上的芭比和肯尼已經是日本的特殊產物, 涉谷109有間名店Egoist, 不僅有出自己的雜誌, 店員在日本的地位跟Non-No雜誌的Model別無兩樣, 店員就是活生生穿著當季漂亮的衣服的模特兒, 所有顧客都可以去店裡看店員如何詮釋最新流行, 當中有位傳說中的”魅力店員”中根麗子,就表示, “素顏跟裸體一樣令人害羞, 我覺得把我臉畫黑看起來比較小, 也比較緊實, 這讓我有自信.”。
七世紀開始, 日本的舞技就開始在臉上和身上撲上”白粉/おしろい”(實際上是日本的貴族先開始使用), 到了平安時代(西元794-1185年間), 婦女大部分時間都是待在暗黑不見光日的房間內, 白皙的皮膚被視為美麗的象徵, 《源氏物語》裡描述的白皙皮膚讓日本女性嚮往, 而往往只有農婦務農才會曬黑. 到了17世紀, 化妝才慢慢普及到平民。 但因為古代的化妝品含有致命的鉛(大部分從中國進口), 婦女當時鉛中毒死亡的比例很高, 而到了1870年, 日本政府正式規範化妝品成分, 並且將化妝白粉禁止。 雖然白皙的皮膚不只是代表這些日本女性不用出外工作, 更代表著日本女性像國外女性一樣相似的膚色。 平安時代的日本女性更會將眉毛剃掉, 她們覺得眉毛醜陋(跟今日的掖毛差不多), 她們將眉毛描述成”毛毛蟲”。

Franz Xavier Bergman (1861-1936) 奧地利首都維也納最出名的青銅冷漆藝術家(Cold Painted), 一開始讓我對他做研究是由於我的朋友Jeff Decker知名的作品Pan Devil (希臘神話PAN 潘神-潘,是希臘神話裡的牧神,牧神潘是眾神傳信者赫密斯的兒子,而名字的原意是一切。掌管樹林、田地和羊群的神,有人型的頭和軀幹,山羊的腿、角和耳朵。他的外表後來成了中世紀歐洲惡魔的原形。喜歡吹排笛,因為排笛能催眠。潘神被羅馬人等同於羅馬宗教中的自然之神法烏努斯(Faunu)或者西爾瓦努斯(Silvānus)。

Franz Bergman的父親是在捷克的城鎮出生, 是一名金屬的鐵匠, 他的工作蠻有趣的是將金屬以鍛打的方式加上圖騰或者文字和圖案(例如打造一個器皿, 在不傷到表面的情形下在表面敲打出圖案). 耳濡目染之下, Franz Bergman開了鑄造廠, 開模並且鑄造許多父親時代留下的設計和原型青銅雕像.Bergman創作風格將東方風格, 情色, 動物都能在他作品中看到原素. 很不幸的是, Bergman擅長的青銅冷漆混色技巧已經失傳. 通常Bergman都將動物人格化, 性愛, 人獸交這一類的作品經常能在他作品中發現. 上漆之後能讓冷冰冰的銅像更為逼真, 銅本身重量其重, Franz Bergmann銅本身能發揮出不同素材份量或者體積感. 例如常看到的地毯, 地毯的輕盈和織法都能透過Cold Painting將銅呈現如布料般的飄逸.
Jeff Decker, 哈雷機車唯一認定指定的雕塑家, 哈雷博物館外面就豎立著五噸重Jeff Decker所製作的雕像,普為人知的是他設計的鑰匙圈(阿美咖機派的幾乎人手一隻). Jeff Decker身受到他古車收藏家父親的影響, 從小就在汽車引擎和機械中長大, 也讓他個性成為喜歡撿一些別人不要的破爛回家, 他將這些破爛重新塑成了不同模樣, 也讓愛玩重機跟賽車的他想到, 沒有人做過賽車的銅像? 日本裏原宿NEIGHBORHOOD, 主理人瀧澤伸介也因為熱愛美國重機文化, 早年就與Jeff Decker成為朋友, 並將他的產品帶回日本跨界合作, 鑰匙圈, Dehen夾克等都有與Jeff Decker的Hippodrome Studio單位合作.
私底下問了Jeff關於他的Pan Devil版本和Franz Bergman的差異, 他表示”潘神/惡魔, 這個塑像有幾個版本, 當我還是小男孩的時候, 我在Steve McQueen(Steve McQueen為好萊塢動作巨星, 同時也是賽車機車雙料冠軍, 白人的硬漢代表, 依然為許多人心目中的硬漢象徵)的桌上看到這個版本, 然後我就雕塑了這個並且裝飾在我三窗的古董車上, 人們看到之後非常喜歡, 並且要求我開始創作這些給他們.”
最早期出現潘神的跡象應該可以追溯至800-300BC的希臘彩繪在黑彩陶器和紅彩陶器, 多次出現羊頭人身潘神騷擾牧羊者, 有趣的是雖然黑彩陶器繪製的是羊頭人身, 但並不是神話中的羊腿, 我想潘神被降格至惡魔也是因為個性使然, 與其說潘是神, 不如說他是令凡人感覺到恐懼的神明. Jeff Decker的版本亦然, 因為小時候留下的深刻印象, 安裝在車頭如同惡魔降臨般的氣勢, 不管是不是原創, 或者被閹割陽具的版本, 不難理解Jeff Decker結合了獨特現代風格和保有經典原素, 並且賦予了銅像新的詮釋意義.
