😱 FULL SCORE OF SUPER MARIO BROS PERFORMED BY 60 PIECE ORCHESTRA AND BIG BAND! 😱
In perhaps what is to date my most insane arranging feat yet, I'm insanely proud to finally present the newest series with The 8-Bit Big Band "Let's Play Live! - Super Mario Bros." In which we perform classic video game scores with our big band supplemented with an orchestral ensemble of 20 strings, choir, harp, woodwinds, and percussion.
In addition, this video features the one and only George Salazar on the NES controller, and all in game sound effects triggered LIVE on two Roland SPDs by Jamie Donald Eblen and Josh Bailey
This was truly the collaborative feat of so many different types of artists, and I really am so beyond excited to have brought this piece of music into existence with them all to honor these classic themes. This project truly is the amalgamation of everything I love about my life, in that it utilized basically every skill I've gained so far both in music and technology, and the fact that I'm able to assemble an ensemble made up of so many friends really fills me with such joy :)
