In July, the klpac Orchestra will be joining forces with a few local artists to premiere some original Chinese compositions written for solo Chinese traditional instruments accompanied by classical symphony orchestra. Featuring Ong May Yi on Ruan, Cloud Teo on Guzheng, Sanji Tee on Erhu and Sim Teck Sing on Pipa, the concert is guaranteed to provide audience an unforgettable experience of sensational oriental music backed by 60 strong full orchestra.
由吉隆坡表演艺术中心呈献，李国良为驻团指挥，klpac管弦乐团将于7月5日至7日带来三场《东韵西乐》音乐会。《东韵西乐》音乐会将以华人作曲家作品为主轴，作品皆以华人传统乐器独奏，搭配管弦乐团伴奏。音乐会将带来4个曲目，包括由温展力作曲的《味道还在》中阮协奏曲，其温柔典雅的曲调以及作曲家对中阮这个乐器恰到好处的运用，从而产生了一种如沐春风之感；何占豪作曲的《莫愁女幻想曲》二胡协奏曲，主要描写南京莫愁湖的民间传说莫愁女的故事；王丹红为电影《柳如是》创作的《如是》古筝协奏曲, 在挖掘、展示古筝传统魅力的同时，探求传统文化在心灵中的沉淀，展现高洁纯朴的心灵世界; 赵聪以敦煌飞天为题材而创作的《丝路飞天》琵琶协奏曲。
音乐总监暨驻团指挥李国良将率领60人klpac管弦乐团与本地音乐家王美颐（中阮演奏家）、张云翔（古筝演奏家）、余俊辉（二胡演奏家）及沈得信（琵琶演奏家）联手呈献《东韵西乐》音乐会，值得爱乐者细加品味。

全能音樂人伍卓賢全新創作計劃，揉合爵士樂式即興及現代古典音樂觸覺的作品，並逐步演化，拓展為音樂色彩更豐富的大型管弦樂曲。兩場藝穗會音樂會為此計劃的第一部曲，由伍卓賢與樂團樂師及三位傑出爵士樂手合力演奏一系列新編作品及新曲，激發無盡音樂潛能。
