Searching for missing person in mountains was success and fast last night. Glad I stick on this part of plan to check from 水社主峰 towards 大尖山 (Formosa Trail course). I was on this connection since 2016, it is very deep forest, bit scary during the day, in night not better :]
I did not see any signs/steps, so I doubt she can be there, but stick on plan to go ahead (and later return). And here she was, happy, healthy, but cold in deep forest and without light and just with light cloth.
Provide Emergency blanket, jacket, food, water, spare headlamp and lady was able to continue in direction to 13th kilometer of forest road (just hike 2km instead go back 10km) where Eva sent 4WD car by instruction.
This time was happy ending and got lot experiences.

■phone with GPS and USB battery/cable
■GPS watch (upload several courses, and it is self safety because battery 24h+)
■water proof jacket
■water proof pants
■warmer long sleeve (in ZIP pocket keep dry)
■two good headlamps and spare battery
■2x emergency blanket
■2x emergency bivak (expect sleep up)
■spare T-shirt (self protect if cold/wet)
■dry food, one can
■2L liquids
■basic medic kit (include duct tape, zip tie and marks/cards, marker, knife, bandages,...)
■Gel Chafing fuel, lighter
■shorts, shirt, shoes, socks,buff, hiking pole
■some luck and several thousand kilometers of exploring in Nantou mountains
what did not have this time:
■Walkie-talkie (did not have in Puli)
■water filter (but there is not so much water up there)
■light pants, gaiters (lot of weed)

Back in the days, around the time when YouTube was founded, before most of you were born, I used to Vlog a lot. I was a little ahead of my time because video sharing platforms were premature back then. I Vlogged so that I can remember my experiences back then. Episode 12 - Mount Snow, Vermont
Beginning of my video was my typical college day. I was cooking Japanese Steaks for my two good friends Brian and Emily. It wasn't the best cooking but eating with good friends are the best. I call Brian "Aniki" or "Onisama", if you know it, you know it.
I went to Mount Snow in Vermont, USA with the same gang I went to Mount Wachusetts with. Instead of Skiing, this time I went Snowboarding. It was a totally different experience. I was snowboarding by myself on the bunny hill until my friends persuaded me to go up the longest cable car. Little did I know, it was the cable car to their most difficult Black Diamond peak. I couldn't even make it to 5% of the mountain, so I had to pretend that I was injured for the snow mobile to come pick me up. It was a fun ride.
Food in Vermont are unique on their own. They are famous for their Maple Syrup. Lots of good food from family run restaurants. We went to Dot's Restaurant and the experience was unforgettable. Super delicious!!!

*Transportation at Jeju mostly using public bus and taxi due to problem with our car rental while in Seoul was all public transport like bus and train, which is way efficient and no regret! '
*Using T-money travel card, filled up a survey on KTO MY website before our trip and managed to get the card for free. Just need to top up once in korea.
*Navigation app that we used in seoul was Naver mapp app which is more accurate and convenient.
*All accommodations were backpackers style but still clean and affordable. Stayed in mixed room at bong hostel in seoul while only male room at on the stone guest house and maro hostel, jeju.

Being Singaporean, we often overlook our local gems and take for granted that there’s always time to visit our local sights. I spent a quality weekend with my family in Mount Faber and Sentosa, and it's total nostalgia!
