Can you imagine having a college program called ”great books”? Do you love the idea of reading 200 of the greatest books and discussing them without the authoritative interpretations of secondary literature or lecturing professors? While the most popular U.S. bachelor’s degrees are in STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics) and business fields, you should also be sure to consider the liberal arts. The critical thinking and interdisciplinary skills that a liberal arts education provides can help you build a solid foundation for success in today’s digital age. On completing undergraduate study, 70-80% of students progress to advanced studies in liberal arts, public administration, engineering, business, law, and medicine. Based on a recent Georgetown University study, liberal arts college graduates will on average make more money in the long run than those who studied at other types of colleges. Share your experiences with us if you are students or alumni from the liberal arts colleges! Learn more: https://bit.ly/36g4hZY
Here are four things you can receive through a liberal arts education in the U.S.:
📚 Interdisciplinary approach to learning
🧑🏫 More interaction with faculty
🤔 Critical thinking skills
🌄 Learning outside the classroom

“The trilingual former colonies of Hong Kong and Macau, all of 440.7 square miles (1139.9 km^2) of land, are now the final lifeline of Cantonese’s quasi-official status.
Hongkongers know that their language is surviving on borrowed time, which, until very recently, was protected by the freedoms of thought, of speech, and of the media. Influencers and young people would openly mock Mainland Chinese loanwords, and high school graduates take the Hong Kong Diploma for Secondary Education (HKDSE), which has the only compulsory Cantonese-based oral examination in the entire world. Even though science courses are taught in English at HKU, the defiant establishment of Cantonese footholds has crept into the science scene.
Enjoying more creative input, spurred by contemporary issues, and egged on by popular demand, Dr. Mak and her fellow show writers steered the RTHK show to confront the intersection of science and society. They started bringing in experts to discuss the science behind crowd suppression tools and the bone trauma that may or may not have resulted from them. The series was renewed in early 2020, and they immediately set off writing scripts involving discussions of the science behind plagues, freedom, resistance and, given the delicate U.S.-China relationship, the curious case of America’s scientific dominance.
While most of the experts on the show were sympathetic to the protestors’ cause, Dr. Mak did not see this evolution as the politicization of science but instead, a necessary return to its essence. “We can’t detach science from daily life. Science not only is an intellectual pursuit but addresses the needs of the world.” “

NTSEC will host 2018 ASPAC Annual Conference which is from September 5 to July 7, with pre-session workshops and post-conference tour. The theme of the annual meeting is "Innovative Science Cuisine." Cuisine is closely related to people's everyday life. People like to eat. The food preparation processes are series of physical and chemical reactions. Using cooking to explain scientific theories can greatly evoke the interest of the general public in studying science. However, the conference are not only about food and cousin, science centers or science museums have the mission of promoting popular science education. To attract visitors to come to the museums and stimulate their interest in learning, science centers have to prepare “innovative and creative cousins” , such as innovative exhibitions and educational activities utilizing hi-tech devices, hands-on activities, or the approach integrated art into science, hoping to provide a better service to our “customers”.
