Hi this is Luhmann in Luhmann’s Kitchen.
嗨,我是魯曼,這裡是魯曼廚房
Today, I am demonstrating how to make hash browns.
今天我要來示範如何做薯餅
The first thing we are gonna do is to peel potatoes.
You can use any kind of potatoes.
首先我們要來削皮 你可以用各種馬鈴薯
After that we use a grater to grate them up.
然後我們拿出磨碎器將馬鈴薯磨碎
I mix them up to get the starch out.
我把它們混合在一起來去掉澱粉
And then we pour cold water into the shredded potatoes
to get the starch out.
然後將冷水倒入馬鈴薯絲中以便去掉澱粉
And then we fry the potatoes for about 2 minutes.
然後我們將馬鈴薯下鍋炒兩分鐘
Next I am gonna pick it up and give it a good squeeze.
接下來,我把它拿起,然後用力擠
Then we’re gonna place the potatoes into a container
covered with a towel to dry it off.
然後將馬鈴薯放進蓋著布的容器來瀝乾
And then we fry the potatoes for about 2 minutes.
然後我們將馬鈴薯下鍋炒兩分鐘
Then in goes garlic powder, pepper, salt, cheddar cheese,
and purpose flour.
然後加入大蒜粉,黑胡椒,鹽巴,切達起司,還有中筋麵粉
Then we mix them up.
然後混合在一起
Then we grab potatoes about the size of a golf ball,
forming it into a hash browns.
然後抓起約高爾夫球大小的馬鈴薯,捏成薯餅的形狀
And then we deep fry the hash browns.
然後下鍋油炸
The hash browns that I made today. I am gonna try it.
我來試試今天做的薯餅
It’s good-looking. It’s golden brown.
滿好看的金黃色色
Good! Crispy outside. Tender inside with the taste of cheese, garlic, and fried potato.
好吃! 外酥內軟, 有起司味蒜味及炸馬鈴薯
Maybe next time I will try to use some seafood,
也許下一次我要用海鮮
for example, shrimps or cuttlefish to make it a kind of seafood hash browns.
比如說墨魚或是蝦子,來做海鮮薯餅
