On July 14th, AIT Cultural Affairs Officer Luke Martin met with Beyond Taiwan, a student-led organization that helps Taiwan high school students understand how the U.S. education system works, how to apply, and why a U.S. college degree is so valuable. Based on their own college application experience, Beyond Taiwan’s network of mentors hold one-on-one and sessions and webinars. EducationUSA participated in their recent virtual student fair, which reached more than 300 students online. We are grateful for organizations like Beyond Taiwan that share our commitment for promoting the benefits of education in the United States – not just for the quality of the education or the career doors it will open, but also because of the rich cultural opportunities that students get to experience. Based on the 2020 Open Doors report, 7,385 undergraduate students from Taiwan studied in the U.S.A. in 2019-20, approximately a 2% increase from the previous academic year. What do you want to study and what’s your dream U.S. college? Leave your comments below!

quality education organizations 在 Crisel Consunji - Artist / Educator Facebook 的最佳貼文
Every child deserves the same access to quality education and responsive care. The good news is, there are many organizations working hard to make this happen. Today, I want to put a spotlight on one of them.
@oneskyorg believes in “unlocking the potential of our world’s vulnerable children.”
They have recently built the P. C. Lee OneSky Global Centre for Early Childhood Development—right in the heart of Sham Shui Po. In an area where children are used to subdivided flats and a lack of playspaces & educational activities, OneSky provides all this and more—for free.
Join me in supporting OneSky’s initiatives for empowering families, and spread the word about the work they do.
