After locking 6 seasoned filmmakers and scholars up for a month with nothing but over 200 short films from all across the globe, the 2nd Taiwan International Queer Film Festival has got our Taiwan Queer Award shortlist!

Two nerve-wrecking, spine-chilling thrillers “The Dragon and Phoenix Show” and “The Thrill” explore LGBT issues with a sprinkle of Chinese traditional flair and vampire fantasy respectively. "When Mom Visits" touches on the struggle an Asian American faces, torn between the conservative cultural roots and western upbringing.

There are 10 contenders left to compete for the Boxer, Brief, and of course the THONG Award this year with a total of 100,000 NTD in cash prize!
