Scatter More Seeds and Increase
“There is one who scatters, and increases yet more. There is one who withholds more than is appropriate, but gains poverty. The liberal soul shall be made fat. He who waters shall be watered also himself. People curse someone who withholds grain, but blessing will be on the head of him who sells it. He who diligently seeks good seeks favor, but he who searches after evil, it shall come to him. He who trusts in his riches will fall, but the righteous shall flourish as the green leaf.” (Proverbs 11:24-28 WEB)
In this world, there is a principle at work, and that is the principle of sowing and reaping: every seed sown and watered eventually produces a harvest.
“While the earth remains, seed time and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night will not cease.”” (Genesis 8:22 WEB)
When you give, that is an act of sowing, and it will have an immediate effect of blessing somebody, but it will also produce a harvest for you in due time.
The kind of harvest you reap depends on the type of seed you sow. If you sow a financial seed, you will receive a multiplied harvest of finances.
“Remember this: he who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly. He who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Let each man give according as he has determined in his heart; not grudgingly, or under compulsion; for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound to you, that you, always having all sufficiency in everything, may abound to every good work. As it is written, “He has scattered abroad, he has given to the poor. His righteousness remains forever.” Now may he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food, supply and multiply your seed for sowing, and increase the fruits of your righteousness; you being enriched in everything to all liberality, which produces through us thanksgiving to God.” (2 Corinthians 9:6-11 WEB)
Those who sow generously will reap generously. The apostle Paul confirmed this and encouraged believers to give cheerfully knowing that their gifts go on to bless many people, produce thanksgiving to God, and also abounding grace to the giver.
If we constantly receive but do not give, it will breed the love of possessions, and be detrimental to our own well-being. Hoarding, stinginess, and a scarcity mindset will fester in a person who does not give.
When we step out in faith to worship Jesus through tithing our income and giving as led by the Holy Spirit, we sanctify our hearts from the love of money.
It also has the secondary effect of sowing financial seeds to produce a harvest in our future.
When we give, we are actively putting our trust in the Lord and not in riches. Whenever we give, we can pray for the Lord to multiply our seed for sowing.
As God increases your prosperity and enlarges your coast, get excited about being able to sow even more than before.
I once saw a quote by Mark Batterson, “When God blesses you financially, don’t raise your standard of living. Raise your standard of giving.” This is so succinct and wonderfully true. Covet the privilege of being able to give more.
Material possessions in this world are fun and nice comforts and privileges to have, but nothing beats the honor and joy of sowing into God’s kingdom, sponsoring the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and feeding those in need like widows and orphans, especially those in our household of faith. The rewards for these acts of righteousness will remain forever!

When Will Jesus Return for us?
““Now from the fig tree learn this parable. When its branch has now become tender, and produces its leaves, you know that the summer is near. Even so you also, when you see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors. Most certainly I tell you, this generation will not pass away, until all these things are accomplished. Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away. But no one knows of that day and hour, not even the angels of heaven, but my Father only.” (Matthew 24:32-36 WEB)
When Jesus said “no one knows of that day and hour,” a Jewish audience who knows the Old Testament (Torah) will see the connection with the Feast of Trumpets (Yom Teruah).
It is celebrated at the same time as Rosh Hashanah (the Jewish New Year).
The Bible says that on the Feast of Trumpets, the shofar (a cleaned-out ram’s horn) is to be sounded.
The Jews in charge of blowing the shofar would wait until the approximate date of the appearance of the new moon in the month of September, and watch intently, ready to blow the shofar once the first sliver of new moon is seen.
See this quote about Rosh Hashanah from Wikipedia:
“Since the time of the destruction of the Second Temple of Jerusalem in 70 CE and the time of Rabban Yohanan ben Zakkai, normative Jewish law appears to be that Rosh Hashanah is to be celebrated for two days, because of the difficulty of determining the date of the new moon.”
In other words, no one knows the day or hour of the new moon’s appearance—just like the Rapture!
See this quote too:
“The best-known ritual of Rosh Hashanah is the blowing of the shofar, a musical instrument made from an animal horn. The shofar is blown at various points during the Rosh Hashanah prayers, with a total of 100 blasts on each day. While the blowing of the shofar is a Biblical statute, it is also a symbolic "wake-up call", stirring Jews to mend their ways and repent. The shofar blasts call out: "Sleepers, wake up from your slumber! Examine your ways and repent and remember your Creator."”
Many Christians are mistaken that the Rapture happens at the last trumpet of the seven trumpets in the Book of Revelation. This would mean that the saints go through the Tribulation and are subject to God’s wrath that will be poured out on this world. However, this is not true.
“in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we will be changed.” (1 Corinthians 15:52 WEB)
On the Feast of Trumpets, a hundred blasts of the trumpet are sounded. The final blast of the trumpet is the “last trump”. The moment the last trump is founded, we will be transformed. Our mortal bodies will be changed into glorified immortal bodies.
Christians who have already died are called “the dead in Christ” or “asleep”. Bring asleep suggests that it is a temporary state; that they will wake up again.
It is significant that the Jews see the blowing of the shofar on the Feast of Trumpets as a “wake-up call” to awake sleepers from their slumber.
“Many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.” (Daniel 12:2 WEB)
The resurrection of the dead will begin with the dead in Christ: all Old Testament and New Testament saints who are saved through faith in Yahweh/Yeshua (Jesus). Their physical bodies which have decayed will be formed back from the dust of the earth, and their spirit will go back into the body. Then, they will be simultaneously transformed with us who are alive and remaining.
Whether or not the Rapture of the saints literally occurs on the Feast of Trumpets or not, we understand that this feast is a picture of the Rapture. If you do not like this term, then you can also call it “the great escape”, “the snatching away”, or “harpazo”.
An archangel will sound many blasts on a heavenly shofar, and at the last blast, we will be changed and be caught up to meet Jesus in the air. It will be a great reunion to see all your loved ones who are asleep at the moment. We will embrace each other amid the clouds, and finally see the Lord face to face.
Are you ready to be receive your new body and to meet the Lord? The return of the Lord is the blessed hope for every Christian, and the signs in this world seem to show that we are in the season of the Rapture.
Once the first sliver of the ‘new moon’ appears, Jesus will stand up and come to receive His bride. Be watchful and excited, for we are not waiting for death, but for our bodily redemption!

Teaching our Children
“Therefore you shall lay up these my words in your heart and in your soul. You shall bind them for a sign on your hand, and they shall be for frontlets between your eyes. You shall teach them your children, talking of them, when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise up. You shall write them on the door posts of your house, and on your gates; that your days may be multiplied, and the days of your children, in the land which Yahweh swore to your fathers to give them, as the days of the heavens above the earth.” (Deuteronomy 11:18-21 WEB)
God wants us (parents) to teach our children. Nowadays there are many ways to outsource education, but we cannot leave our children completely in the hands of the secular education system.
The most important thing to teach our children from infancy is : God’s word. Teaching is not about seating them in front of a desk with a thick Bible and going through chapter by chapter.
Be led by the Holy Spirit, and whenever an appropriate teaching moment arises, use the chance to talk about Jesus and make the faith real and practical in your children’s lives.
For example, if your child fell down and scraped his knee, just comfort him and pray together, declaring that Jesus’ healing power is entering the wound to fix it.
Before each meal, thank Jesus for the food and declare it sanctified in Jesus’ name. Tell your children that the Lord is specially preparing the food to be clean, good, and healthy for them.
Whenever possible, quote portions of Scripture to etch it in your children’s hearts. “Wow look at all these gifts that we received! Praise Jesus—the Lord is truly our Shepherd, and we shall not lack!”
Teach them Gospel truths—what is applicable under the New Covenant of Grace. Definitely don’t make them recite or memorize the Ten Commandments of the Law.
The Gospel has a prospering effect. It has the power to save from every trouble. As a parent, and especially if you are a father, you are also entrusted with the role of leading your children in their spiritual growth.
“Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.” (Proverbs 22:6 WEB)
By the leading of the Holy Spirit, build a strong foundation of faith for your children, and they will greatly benefit from it throughout their lives!
When I wrote the book “Sandcastles Don’t Last Forever” the compiled truths within were designed for the whole family. It is so important that our children know from young that we do our best in life for the Lord’s sake, to worship Him, and that He is the one who will reward us. There is no need to live for the praise of men. This belief alone will save them from many disappointments and heartaches.
There are so many great lessons about eternal rewards in the book. I hope you can get it (either the eBook or a paperback copy) and share the truths with your children in a relatable way, after digesting the revelations yourself: http://bit.ly/sandcastlesdontlastforever

“God helps those who help themselves.”
This oft-misused quote has left many of us struggling to hustle the best we can, only daring to ask God for help when we’ve exhausted our last bit of strength. But did you know that you can ask Him for help right here and now? You can be transparent with God about your weaknesses, not-enoughs and disqualifications, and start trusting that His strength is made perfect in them, as He’s promised (see 2 Cor. 12:9).
